WEEK 35
This week in the Premier League, Arsenal secured a 3-2 win in the North London derby to stay top. Man City eased past Notts Forest 2-0 away to stay one point off the top with a game in hand. Sheff Utd were relegated after getting destroyed 5-1 at Newcastle.
Everton beat Brentford 1-0 at home. Wolves beat Luton 2-1 at home. Bournemouth brushed Brighton aside 3-0 at home. Chelsea came from two goals down in the first half to draw 2-2 at Aston Villa. Liverpool drew 2-2 at West Ham to end any title aspirations.
Burnley got a late equaliser to draw 1-1 at Man Utd, and Palace drew 1-1 at Fulham.
In the ITYFL, former back-to-back champ Danny Milton is getting ever so closer to an illustrious third title, as he remains top via 43 points, with three game weeks to go. He had a decent 63 point week, due to captain Palmer (16) Isak (13) Son (9) Walker (8) Haaland (5) and B.Fernandes (4).
This week’s Highest Mover is the defending two-time champ Jeff Franklin. He moved up three places from 5th to 2nd, giving the top of the league a familiar look, following his excellent wildcard weekly score of 80 points. Thanks to captain Palmer (16) Isak (13) Petrovic (11) Gordon (10) Son (9) N.Jackson (8), and Haaland (5).
Former champ, ahem Charles Denton moves up to third, thanks to his very decent 73 point weekly score, with contributions from captain Isak (26) Saka (12) Gordon (10) Son (9) and Palmer (8).
Moving down but making up the Champions League places in fourth is Sanjay Beecher, following his modest 52 point week. With captain Palmer (16) Havertz (13) Pickford (10), and Muniz (6).
Also moving down and slowly seeing his title hope fading, is my middle son Jahsiah Tobierrie in fifth. He had a disappointing weekly score of 47 points, with his main contributions coming from captain Palmer (16) Saka (12) and Kluivert (7). Just two points behind in sixth is my oldest son, under his alisa Tommy Devito, with a modest 54 point weekly score, following Saka (12) De Bruyne (11) Gordon (10) and Palmer (8).
My coaching partner Francis Norville remains in seventh, despite his modest weekly score of 48 points, with contributions from captain Son (18) Pickford (10) and Palmer (8). In eighth, just a point behind is Owen Barnes, despite his disappointing 38 point week, mainly due to captain Son (18) and Palmer (8).
Staying in ninth place is my youngest son and former champ Latrell Oscar, with a modest weekly score of 48 points, following captain Palmer (16) De Bruyne (11) Muniz (6) and Haaland (5). Making up the top ten with a weekly score of 49 points, is my Arsenal mate and former work colleague, Mr James. Due to Havertz (12) Isak (13) Palmer (8), and Muniz (6).
This week’s Highest Scorer was Nordin Gharib, who had a superb 84 point week. Doing the business was captain Palmer (16) Havertz (13) Isak (13) Senesi (13) Saka (12), and Gordon (10).
Lastly, congratulations to the April manager of the month Derick Fredericks also, the eight managers who made it to the Quarter-Finals of the cup. Full steam ahead to week 36. Make it count y’all.
