I TELL YAH INVITATIONAL LEAGUE
SEASON TEN
FINAL DAY
On the final day of the Premier League season, Man City beat West Ham 3-1 at home to lift the Premier League title for a record fourth season. Arsenal ended the season in second following their late 2-1 home win over Everton. Klopp ended his Liverpool career with a 2-0 victory over 10-man Wolves at Anfield.
Crystal Palace produced the performance of the day, slapping fourth-place Aston Villa 5-0 at home. Spurs finished fifth after beating rock bottom Sheff Utd 3-0 away. Chelsea ended their season on a high note to finish sixth, beating Bournemouth 2-1 at home. Newcastle beat Brentford 4-2 away to end the season in seventh.
Man Utd beat Brighton 2-0 away to finish in eighth, missing out on European football. Fulham ended their season on a high with a 4-2 away win against relegated Luton. Another relegated team, Burnley, lost 2-1 at home to Notts Forest, who finished the season one place above the relegation zone.
In the ITYFL, congratulations to Danny Milton, who claims a record third ITYFL title via just nine points and has now claimed three of the last four titles, following his final day 72 point weekly score. Thanks mainly to Eze (18) Foden (15) Porro (14) Son (7), and Palmer (6).
May manager of the month Jeff Franklin is in second, just ten points away from retaining his title. He ended with a weekly score of 62 points due to Foden (15) Porro (14) Son (7) Havertz (6) and Palmer (6).
Former champ, ahem Charles Denton, finishes in third place with a decent final day 88 point week. Following Mateta (20) Foden (15) Isak (14) Porro (14) Son (7), and Palmer (6).
There is a gap to fourth, as Sanjay Beecher, flying the flag for USA & JA ends the season in a Champions League place due to his 57 point weekly score, with Foden (15) Son (7) Havertz (6) Palmer (6) Virgil (6) and Doughty (6).
My oldest son, under his alias Tommy Devito, ends the season with family bragging rights and prize money, as he claims a fifth-place finish following a 53 point week. Due to Foden (15) Isak (14) Henderson (6), and Palmer. My middle son Jahsiah Tobierrie, will be cursing his end-of-season form, as he finished in sixth with a disappointing weekly score of 33 points, his main contributions were from only Foden (15) and Palmer (6).
My coaching partner Francis Norville will be content with a top ten finish in seventh place, due to his decent final day 71 point week, with captain Palmer (12) Mateta (20) Foden (15) Son (7) and Anderson (5). Timothy Stigwood moved up to eighth with a weekly score of 62 points, following Dalot (15) Foden (15) Isak (14) and Palmer (6).
This sees my youngest son and former champ Latrell Oscar move down to ninth due to his 59 point week, with contributions from captain Palmer (12) Eze (18) Isak (14) and Son (7). Making up the top ten is Owen Barnes following his 61 point weekly score, due to captain Son (14) Porro (14) Palmer (6) Salah (6) Virgil (6) Anderson (5) and Areola (4).
The Highest Scorer on the final day of the season was RMC Eremce, who notched an amazing bench boost weekly score of 101 points. Doing the business was captain Palmer (12) Mateta (20) Eze (18) Foden (15) Isak (14) Havertz (6) and from off the bench Anderson (5).
This week’s Highest Mover was Philippines native Jean Ninal, who moved up two places from 14th to 12th due to her very decent 84 point week. Thanks to Dalot (15) Isak (14) Foden (15) Odergaard (10) Son (7) Palmer (6) Mitchell (6) and Vicario (6).
Congratulations to my oldest nephew, Tyrell Miles-Brown, who fully deserved to be the third ITYFL Cup champion. He beat three of the managers who finished in the top four, on the way to defeating the defending champion in the final.
But finally, congratulations go out again to Danny Milton, claiming his third ITYFL title in four seasons. Congrats.
