SEASON ELEVEN

WEEK 3

This week in the Premier League, Liverpool humbled Man Utd 3-0 at Old Trafford. Bournemouth came from two goals down to score three in the last few minutes to beat Everton 3-2 away. Man City eased past West Ham 3-1 away.

Newcastle scored late to beat Spurs 2-1 at home. Aston Villa beat Leicester 2-1 away. Brentford beat Southampton 3-1 at home. Brighton got a 1-1 draw at 10-man Arsenal in a controversial game. Crystal Palace got a credible 1-1 draw at Chelsea.

Ipswich got their first point of the season with a 1-1 home draw with Fulham, and two goals in two minutes saw Forest draw 1-1 at home to Wolves.

In the ITYFL, we have a new league leader. Keeping it in the family, my blood brother Wayne Watson has ascended to the top and is the August manager of the month, thanks to an excellent 93 point weekly score, making him this week’s Highest Scorer with the second-highest score this season. Doing the business was captain Haaland (34) Salah (17) Wood (9) Alisson (8) Joao Pedro (8) Alexander-Arnold (6), and Semenyo (6).

The defending three-times champ Danny Milton remains in second some 22 points behind, following his wildcard weekly score of 68 points, due to captain Palmer (12) Haaland (17) Mbuemo (14) Alexander-Arnold (6) Watkins (5) and Robinson (4).

On the same points, in joint second, is my youngest son and former champ Latrell Oscar, with a modest 61 point week. His contributions came from captain Havertz (16) Salah (17) Alexander-Arnold (6) Robertson (6), and Saka (6).

Making up the Champions League places just four points behind is Owen Barnes, thanks to a decent 75 point weekly score. Following captain Salah (34) Eze (10) Isak (9) Saka (6), and Watkins (5).

Up to fifth place, maintaining her impressive debut, is my daughter, The OG Nae, with a very decent wildcard weekly score of 83 points. Thanks to captain Haaland (34) Salah (17) Wood (9) Alexander-Arnold (6), and Saka (6). On the same points is the two-time champ Jeff Franklin moved down to sixth following his 65 point week, mainly due to captain Haaland (34) Isak (9) and Saka (6).

Flying the flag for JA & USA, Sanjay Beeher moves up to seventh due to his very decent 82 point weekly score. Due to captain Salah (34) Haaland (17) Isak (9) Lewis (6), and Robinson (4). Just a point behind in eighth is my middle son, Jahsiah Tobierrie, with a very decent weekly score of 86 points, the joint fifth-highest this season. He also moved up eight places, the joint 3rd highest this season. Thanks to captain Haaland (34) Salah (17) Bernardo (7) Havertz (8) Lewis (6) and Saka (6).

Nordin Gharib sneaks up into ninth place thanks to his very decent 83 point week, following captain Haaland (34) Salah (17) Joao Pedro (8) Bernardo (7) and Alexander-Arnold (6). Holding onto a top ten place is former champ, ahem Charles Denton, with a 66 point weekly score, due to captain Haaland (34) Isak (9) Saka (6) and Robinson (4).

This week’s Highest Mover was “Coach Simz” Simeon Edwards, who moved up a big nine places from 24th to 15th, the second-highest this season, due to his decent weekly score of 79 points. Thanks to captain Salah (34) Eze (10) Isak (9) Alexander-Arnold (6) Saka (6), and Watkins (5).

Lastly, shout out to Timothy Stigwood, whose 77 point weekly score moved him up eight places, the joint third-highest this season.
