This week in the Premier League, Notts Forest shocked Liverpool at Anfield with a 1-0 victory. Arsenal maintained their North London derby dominance with a 1-0 win at Spurs. Man City had to come from behind to beat Brentford 2-1 at home.
Everton suffered a fourth league defeat in a row and surrendered another two-goal lead in a 3-2 defeat at Aston Villa. Man United brushed Southampton aside 3-0 away. Chelsea scored a late winner to defeat Bournemouth 1-0 away.
Newcastle came from behind to beat Wolves 2-1 away. West Ham got a late equaliser as they drew 1-1 at Fulham. Palace came from two goals down to draw 2-2 at home to Leicester, and Ipswich got a 0-0 draw at Brighton.
In the ITYFL my blood brother Wayne Watson just about held on to the top spot following his modest 56 point weekly score, mainly due to captain Haaland (26) and Gabriel (15).
This week’s joint Highest Scorer in second is my youngest son and former champ Latrell Oscar, just six points off the top thanks to his excellent wildcard weekly score of 72 points. Doing the business was captain Watkins (26) Sanchez (15) Haaland (13), and Mazaoui (6).
In third is this week’s other joint Highest Scorer, the two-time champ Jeff Franklin, whose excellent 72 point week was thanks to captain Haaland (26) Dalot (11) Rashford (8) Saka (7) Smith Rowe (7) and Saliba (5).
Making up the Champions League places in fourth is Owen Barnes due to his decent 66 point weekly score. Following Gabriel (15) Haaland (13) Saka (7) Smith Rowe (7) Wissa (7) and Saliba (5).
The defending three-times champ Danny Milton moves down to fifth following his weekly score of 59 points, with contributions from captain Haaland (26) Watkins (13) and Smith Rowe (7). Also moving down is my daughter The OG Nae, despite her decent 62 point week, due to captain Haaland (26) Raya (9) Saka (7) Garnacho (7) and Greaves (6).
Kool FM’s Pressure X storms up to seventh place, thanks to his decent 66 point weekly score, following captain Haaland (26) Gabriel (15) Raya (9) and Mazraoui (6). Up into eighth is my coaching partner Francis Norville, with a 62 point weekly score, due to captain Haaland (23) Ederson (7) Nkunku (7) Saka (7) and Saliba (5).
Nordin Gharib remains in ninth following a 58 point week, with contributions from Haaland (23) Dalot (11) Hudson-Odio (7) Smith Rowe (7) Amad (6) and Digne (4). Yours Truly has sneaked into the top ten following my modest wildcard weekly score of 52 points, mainly due to captain Haaland (23) Saka (7) and Van Hecke (6).
This week’s Highest Mover was my former work colleague and frustrated Spurs mate Kieth Wilson. He moved up seven places from 18th to 11th thanks to his decent 64 point weekly score with contributions from captain Watkins (26) Haaland (13) Guimaraes (7), and Saliba (5).
Full steam ahead to week five, make it count y’all.
