WEEK 6
This week in the Premier League, Tottenham brushed Man Utd aside 3-0 at Old Trafford. Arsenal needed two stoppage-time goals to overcome Leicester 4-2 at home. Chelsea scored four and conceded two, all in the first half, to beat Brighton 4-2 at home.
Fulham defeated Notts Forest 1-0 away. Everton came from behind to beat Crystal Palace 2-1 at home for their first win of the season. Liverpool needed a penalty to beat Wolves 2-1 away. Bournemouth scored three in the first half to beat Southampton 3-1 at home.
Ipswich drew 2-2 at home to Aston Villa. Newcastle secured a home 1-1 draw against Man City, and West were the latest victims of Brentford scoring in the first minute, but they came back to get a 1-1 draw.
In the ITYFL, my youngest son and former champ Latrell Oscar is in some blistering early season form, as he opens up a 51 point lead at the top. He is Highest Scorer for the second week in a row due to his excellent 78 point weekly score, thanks to Palmer (25) Martinelli (13) Watkins (11) Konate (7) Rogers (7) and N.Jackson (5).
The defending three-time champion Danny Milton moves into second place following his very decent 74 point week, due to Palmer (25) Watkins (11) Mbeumo (9) Rogers (7) Semenyo (7), and Porro (5).
This sees my blood brother Wayne Watson move down to third due to a disappointing weekly score of 39 points, where his only real contributions came from Salah (10) Semenyo (7) and Romero (6).
Timothy Stigwood has moved into the Champions League places thanks to his decent 63 point weekly score. Mainly due to Palmer (25) Gvardiol (9) Konate (7), and Madueke (5).
Two-time champ Jeff Franklin remains in fifth, with a modest weekly score of 43 points, with contributions from Watkins (11) Jota (8) Rogers (7) and Porro (5). Owen Barnes is up to sixth, just a point behind due to a 51 point week, mainly due to captain Salah (20) Gvardiol (9) and Anderson (8).
Up to seventh, just a further two points behind is Kool FM’s Pressure X, following his 59 point weekly score. With captain Salah (20) Palmer (25), and Porro (5). This sees my daughter, The OG Nae, move down to eighth with a disappointing 27 point week, where her only solid contribution came from Salah (10).
This week’s joint Highest Mover, making his first foray into the top ten, is my oldest son, under his alias Tommy Devito. He moved up four places from 13th to 9th thanks to a weekly score of 61 points. Due to captain Saka (6) Watkins (11) Soucek (10) Gvardiol (9) Jota (8) Harwood-Bellis (7), and Madueke (5). Moving down, but just holding onto a top-ten spot is Nordin Gharib, despite his disappointing 25 point weekly score, with his only solid contribution coming from Salah (10).
This week’s other joint Highest Mover in his debut season is Coach Simz, Simeon Edwards. He moved up four places from 23rd to 19th, thanks to his decent 64 point week. Doing the business was captain Salah (20) Watkins (11) Van de Ven (11), and Gvardiol (9).
Full steam ahead to week seven, the last week before another international break. So, make it count y’all.
