SEASON ELEVEN
WEEK 7
This week in the Premier League, Brighton came from two goals down in the first half to score three in the second to beat Spurs 3-2 at home. Liverpool defeated Crystal Palace 1-0 away to stay top going into the second international break for the season.
Man City beat Fulham 3-2 at home. Arsenal came from a goal down to beat Southampton 3-1 at home. Brentford scored another early goal on their way to a crazy 5-3 home win over Wolves. West Ham brushed Ipswich aside 4-1 at home. Leicester beat Bournemouth 1-0 at home.
10-man Notts Forest got a decent 1-1 draw at Chelsea. Newcastle missed a penalty as they drew 0-0 at Everton, and Man Utd drew 0-0 at Aston Villa.
In the ITYFL, it was a low-scoring week, which will only benefit my youngest son and former champ, Latrell Oscar. His 46 point weekly score keeps him top via 58 points. Thanks to captain Palmer (12) Alexander-Arnold (8) Konate (6) Martinelli (6), and Sanchez (4).
The defending three-time champion, Danny Milton, remains in second place following his modest weekly score of 39, with main contributions from Alexander-Arnold (8) Mbeumo (8) and Palmer (6).
Timothy Stigwood has moved into third place thanks to a decent 58 point week. Due to captain Saka (16) Madueke (10) Welbeck (8) Konate (6), and Palmer (6).
This sees my blood brother Wayne Watson move down to fourth place, following his 43 point weekly score, mainly due to Alisson (10) Alexander-Arnold (8) and Welbeck (8).
Two-time champ Jeff Franklin stays in fifth with a 53 point week. His main contributions came from Saka (16) Jota (8) Johnson (7), and Dalot (6). Owen Barnes remains in sixth, due to his weekly score of 48 points, following captain Salah (6) Saka (16) Welbeck (8) and Kudus (7).
My oldest son, under his alias Tommy Devito, moves up to seventh due to his very decent 63 point weekly score. Thanks to captain Saka (32) Madueke (10), and Jota (8). My daughter, The OG Nae, in her debut season, continues to exceed expectations as she remains in eighth place, following a 49 point week, with main contributions from Saka (16) Alexander-Arnold (8) and Wood (8).
This sees Kool FM’s Pressure X move down to ninth, due to his modest weekly score of 32 points, with captain Salah (6) Faes (6) and Palmer (6). Sliding up into joint tenth is my recent(ish) former work colleague Abdul Rahaman. He had a 48 point weekly score following Alisson (10) Madueke (10) Alexander-Arnold (8) and Palmer (6).
Also up into joint tenth, flying the flag for JA & USA, is Sanjay Beecher, with a decent weekly score of 58 points. Thanks to Madueke (10) Martinez (9) Mbeumo (8) Van Dijk (8) Keane (6), and Lewis (4). This week’s Highest Scorer was Tommy Lee, with a fantastic 81 point week. Doing the business was captain Palmer (12) Saka (16) Pickford (15) Madueke (10) Bowen (12), and Welbeck (8).
This week’s Highest Mover, who moved up five places from 18th to 13th due to a very decent 66 point weekly score was Simon Sebhat. Thanks to captain Jota (16) Saka (16) Bowen (12), and Ait-Nouri (9).
Unfortunately, we arrive at the second international break for the season. So, I’ll see y’all on the other side.
