I TELL YAH INVITATIONAL LEAGUE
SEASON ELEVEN
WEEK 14
This midweek in the Premier League, Arsenal eased past Man Utd 2-0 at home with two set pieces. Bournemouth defeated lacklustre Spurs 1-0 at home. Chelsea destroyed Southampton 5-1 away. Man City got back on track with a 3-0 home win against Notts Forest.
Wolves destroyed Everton 4-0 at home. Fulham eased past Brighton 3-1 at home. Crystal Palace beat Ipswich 1-0 away. Leicester beat West Ham 3-1 at home in Ruud Van Nistelrooy’s first game, and Liverpool drew 3-3 at Newcastle in another thriller.
In the ITYFL, we have a new league leader. Owen Barnes has risen to the summit thanks to a decent 66 point wildcard week, due to the likes of captain Palmer (14) Salah (18) Watkins (12) and Gvardiol (6).
Nordin Gharib moves up to second, just five points behind, following a very decent 74 point weekly score. Thanks mainly to captain Salah (36) Iwobi (15) Palmer (7), and Raya (6).
This sees my youngest son and former champ Latrell Oscar down to third despite his decent weekly score of 64 points, with captain Palmer (14) Salah (18) Timber (14), and Joao Pedro (5).
Staying in the Champions League places is my blood brother, Wayne Watson, due to his very decent 72 point week, following captain Salah (36) Rodgers (8) Alexander-Arnold (6) Guehi (6). and Haaland (5).
Sanjay Beecher, flying the flag for JA & USA, remains in fifth despite his modest 48 point weekly score, with main contributions from captain Haaland (10) Salah (18) and Guehi (6). The defending three times champ Danny Milton stays in sixth place. Following a 57 point week. Due to captain Palmer (14) Timber (14) Rodgers (8) Raya (6), and Haaland (5).
My former work colleague and Arsenal man Mr James moves up to seventh, also with a weekly score of 59 points, with captain Saka (6) Salah (18) Watkins (12) Palmer (7) and Joao Pedro (5). This sees my daughter, The OG Nae move down to eighth following her modest 43 point week, with contributions mainly from captain Saka (6) Salah (18) and Robinson (6).
Just two points behind in ninth is Simon Sebhat with his 56 point weekly score, due to captain Joao Pedro (10) Watkins (12) Isak (11) Gvardiol (6) and Robinson (6). Making up the top ten is two-time champ Jeff Franklin, following a weekly score of 52 points with contributions from captain Haaland (10) Salah (18) Henderson (7) and Joao Pedro (5).
This week’s Highest Scorer was my recent(ish) former work colleague Abdul Rahman, with a superb 82 point week. Which also made him this week’s Highest Mover as he moved up two places from 17th to 15th. Thanks to captain Salah (36) Watkins (12) McNeil (9) Palmer (7) Alexander-Arnold (6), and Vardy (4).
