I TELL YAH INVITATIONAL LEAGUE
SEASON ELEVEN
WEEK 16
This week in the Premier League, Man Utd scored two late goals to heap more misery on Man City with a 2-1 away win. Spurs destroyed Southampton 5-0 away, signalling the end of Russell Martin’s job. Ipswich got a last-minute goal to beat Wolves 2-1 away, signalling the end of Gary O’Neil’s Job.
Crystal Palace ended Brighton’s unbeaten home record with a 3-1 win. Newcastle destroyed Leicester 4-0 at home. Chelsea beat Brentford 2-1 at home. 10-man Liverpool came from behind twice to draw 2-2 at home to Fulham.
Bournemouth scored very late to draw 1-1 at home to West Ham, and Everton got a credible 0-0 draw at Arsenal.
In the ITYFL, the title race is hotting up and becoming a real battle as my youngest son and former champ Latrell Oscar, has moved back to the top of the table via just two points. This was thanks to his very decent weekly score of 65 points due to captain Cunha (18) Gabriel (9) Mbeumo (9) Porro (6) J.Timber (6), and Salah (5).
This sees Owen Barnes move down to second, following a 59 point weekly score. With captain Salah (10) Isak (11) Cunha (9) Gabriel (9), and Gvardiol (7).
A little adrift, Nordin Gharib stays in third place with a decent 61 point week due to captain Palmer (6) Cunha (9) Gabriel (9) N.Jackson (9) Porro (6) Raya (6) Enzo (5) and Salah (5).
Moving up to fourth is this week’s Highest Scorer, the defending three-time champ Danny Milton, with an excellent 74 point weekly score. Doing the business were captain Salah (10) Hall (15) Isak (11) Cunha (9) Kulusevski (8) Raya (6) J.Timber (5), and Solanke (5).
Sanjay Beecher, flying the flag for JA & USA, stays in fifth despite his modest weekly score of 41 points. His contributions came from Cunha (9) Kulusevski (8) Mykolenko (7), and Salah (5). This sees my blood brother Wayne Watson move down to sixth, following a disappointing 30 point week. Only captain Salah (10) and Porro (6) provided any real contributions, with nine-point Gabriel on the bench.
My former work colleague and Arsenal man, Mr James, remains in seventh due to his modest 41 point weekly score, with contributions from captain Salah (10) Gabriel (9) and Porro (6). My recent(ish) former work colleague and Chelsea man Abdul Rahman continues his excellent recent form as he moves up to eighth, thanks to a decent 61 point week. Due to captain Salah (10) Isak (11) Cunha (9) Mbeumo (9) Porro (6) Wan-Bissaka (5) and Fabianski (4).
Simon Sebhat remains in ninth place with a weekly score of 56 points, following contributions from Isak (11) B.Fernandez (9) Gabriel (9) Gvardiol (7) Robinson (6) and Fabianski (4). Moving down but holding onto a top ten place via just two points is my daughter, The OG Nae, despite a disappointing 33 point week, with her only contributions coming from captain Saka (6) Gibbs-White (8) Robinson (6) and Salah (5).
This week’s Highest Mover was my oldest son, under his alias Tommy Devito. He moved up three places from 16th to 13th following a 53 point weekly score, mainly due to Gabriel (9) Mbeumo (9) Gvardiol (7) Madueke (6) Porro (6) and Raya (6).
We are now entering the busy Christmas period, with loads of games and points to be won. Make it count y’all.
