SEASON ELEVEN
WEEK 18
This Boxing Day in the Premier League, Fulham came from a goal down to get a last-minute winner at Chelsea for a dramatic 2-1 win in the West London derby. Liverpool came from a goal down to ease past Leicester 3-1 at home. Wolves poured more misery on 10-man Man Utd with a 2-0 home win.
Newcastle destroyed 10-man Aston Villa 3-0 at home. Notts Forest continued their great form while putting more depression on Spurs with a 1-0 home win. Arsenal squeezed past Ipswich 1-0 at home.
West Ham beat Southampton 1-0 away. Everton got a good away point with a 1-1 draw at Man City. Crystal Palace drew 0-0 at Bournemouth and Brighton drew 0-0 at home to Brentford.
In the ITYFL, Owen Barnes has consolidated first place and stretched his lead thanks to a very decent 76 point weekly score. With captain Salah (18) Cunha (12) Palmer (10) Isak (8) Saliba (7) Ait Nouri (6) and Gabriel (6).
My youngest son and former champ Latrell Oscar is second, 52 points behind after a modest 49 point week. This is mainly due to captain Salah (18), Palmer (10), J.Timber (9), and Gabriel (6).
Moving up to third, just five points behind is the defending three-times champ Danny Milton, following his very decent weekly score of 76 points. Thanks to captain Salah (18) Cunha (12) Palmer (10) J.Timber (9) Isak (8) Hall (6) and Raya (6).
Nordin Gharib moves down to fourth, despite his decent 63 point weekly score, with key contributions from captain Salah (18) Palmer (10) Isak (8) Aina (6) Gabriel (6) and Raya (6).
Flying the flag for JA & USA, Sanjay Beecher remains in fifth due to his 57 point weekly score, with captain Salah (18) Cunha (12) Bowen (18) and Hall (6). Undoubtedly the form manager, my recent(ish) former work colleague and Chelsea man Abdul Rahman storms up two places into sixth, thanks to his superb 80 point week, making him this week’s Highest Scorer. Doing the business were captain Palmer (20) Cunha (12) Salah (9) Wan-Bissaka (9) Isak (8) Sels (8) and Aina (6).
My former work colleague Mr James stays in seventh with a decent weekly score of 67 points, due to captain Salah (18) Palmer (10) Bowen (8) Isak (8) Gabriel (6) and Sels (6). This sees my blood brother Wayne Watson move down to eighth, with a modest 43 point weekly score. His contributions were from captain Salah (18) Aina (6) and Gabriel (6).
Two-time champ Jeff Franklin stays in ninth, due to a disappointing 41 point week, with captain Salah (18) Isak (8) and Hall (6). This week’s Highest Mover is Kool FM’s Pressure X, who moved up three places from 9th to joint 12th, thanks to his decent weekly score of 65 points, due to captain Salah (18) Cunha (12) Palmer (10) Isak (8) Aina (6) and Raya (6).
Moving down into joint tenth is Simon Sebhat, due to a disappointing 37 point week, with contributions from Bowen (8) Isak (8) Ait Nouri (6) and Gabriel. Moving up into joint tenth is my Old Skool mate Derick Fredericks, thanks to a decent 66 point weekly score, following captain Salah (12) Palmer (10) Isak (8) Sels (8) Aina (6) and Hall (6).
It’s another quick turnaround to week 19, which will offically mark the halfway point in the season. Make it count y’all.
