WEEK 19

This week in the Premier League, Liverpool destroyed West Ham 5-0 away, Newcastle eased past Man Utd 2-0 away, Arsenal eased past Brentford 3-1 away, and Ipswich shocked Chelsea with a 2-0 home win.

Notts Forest continued their good form as they beat Everton 2-0 away. Man City also beat Leicester 2-0 away. Crystal Palace beat Southampton 2-1 at home. Wolves scored a late goal to draw 2-2 at Tottenham. Bournemouth scored an even later goal to draw 2-2 at Fulham, and Brighton scored late to draw 2-2 at Aston Villa.

In the ITYFL, Owen Barnes maintains a healthy 48 point lead at the top going into 2025, thanks to his decent 77 point weekly score. Due to the likes of captain Salah (32) Rogers (11) Diaz (9) Isak (7) Gvardiol (6), and Semenyo (5). However, it would have been even better had he not left Ait Nouri (10) on the bench.

The first of this week’s joint Highest Movers is Nordin Gharib. He moved up two places from 4th to 2nd thanks to an excellent weekly score of 93 points, the joint eighth-highest this season. Thanks to captain Salah (32) G.Jesus (12) Wood (12) Diaz (9) Aina (8), and Milenkovic (6).

My youngest son and former champ Latrell Oscar moved down to third, just four points behind, despite his decent 77 point week. With captain Salah (32) Wood (12) Joao Pedro (9) Mbeumo (7) Sels (6), and Porro (4).

Making up a Champions League place in fourth is the defending three-time champ Danny Milton, also with a decent 77 point weekly score. Following captain Salah (32) Alexander-Arnold (15) Isak (7) Jota (6) Kulusevski (5), and Robinson (4).

Flying the flag for JA & USA, Sanjay Beecher remains in fifth due to a very decent weekly score of 89 points. With captain Salah (32) Hall (12) G.Jesus (12) Haaland (8) Mbeumo (7) Virgil (6) Kulusevski (5), and Robinson (4). The form manager Abdul Rahman stays in sixth, following his very decent 82 point week, due to captain Salah (32) Alexander-Arnold (15) Aina (8) Isak (7) Mbeumo (7) and Sels (6).

My blood brother Wayne Watson moves up to seventh, just ten points behind due to an excellent 96 point weekly score, the seventh-highest this season. Thanks to captain Salah (32) Alexander-Arnold (15) Wood (12) Rogers (11) Aina (8) Haaland (8), and Porro (4). Just a further three points behind in eighth is my former work colleague and Arsenal man Mr James, with a very decent weekly score of 86 points and contributions from captain Salah (32) G.Jesus (12) Watkins (12) Isak (7) Lewis (6) Sels (6), and Porro (4).

Two-time champ Jeff Franklin stays in ninth, with his very decent 85 point week, due to captain Salah (32) Hall (12) Diaz (9) Haaland (8) Isak (7) Strand Larson (6) and Robinson (4). The second of this week’s Highest Movers is My Old Skool mate Derick Fredericks, who moved up two places from 12th for his first foray in the top ten due to a very decent weekly score of 85 points. Thanks to captain Salah (32) Hall (12) Diaz (9) Aina (8) Isak (7) Gvardiol (6), and Sels (6).

This week’s Highest Scorer was former champ, ahem Charles Denton, following a superb 101 point week, the fifth-highest this season. This also made him the third of three joint Highest Movers, as he moved up two places from 20th to 18th. Doing the business was captain Salah (32) Hall (12) Wood (12) Rogers (11) Martinelli (9) Isak (7) Sels (6) Virgil (6) and Robinson (4).
