I TELL YAH INVITATIONAL LEAGUE
SEASON ELEVEN
WEEK 30
This week in the Premier League, Fulham shocked league leaders Liverpool with a 3-2 home win. Aston Villa beat Notts Forest 2-1 at home to boost their Champions League chances. Crystal Palace beat Brighton 2-1 at home in a game that saw three red cards.
Wolves came from behind to beat Ipswich 2-1 away. Southampton were relegated as they lost 3-1 at Spurs. Newcastle eased past Leicester 3-0 away.
Bournemouth drew 2-2 at West Ham. Everton drew 1-1 at home to Arsenal, whose focus was elsewhere. Brentford drew 0-0 at home to Chelsea. In one of the worst Manchester derbies of modern times, Manchester United drew 0-0 at home to Manchester City.
In another low-scoring ITYFL, in his quest for a fourth title, the three times champ Danny Milton stretched his lead at the top to 16, thanks to his very decent 54 point week, with contributions from J.Murphy (16) Eze (9) Gvardiol (9) and Trippier (6).
Nordin Gharib stays in second with his weekly score of 44 points, due to Livramento (11) Eze (9) and Mateta (8). But he will be upset at leaving Gvardiol (9) on the bench.
Moving up to third place, flying the flag for JA & USA, Sanjay Beecher is desperately trying to make it a three-horse race, following a 44 point wildcard week, with Livramento (11) Gvardiol (9) Burn (6) and Strand Larsen (6).
Down to fourth is Owen Barnes due to a very disappointing 28 point week with, his only significant contributions coming from captain Salah (4) Sanchez (6) Semenyo (6) and Mbeumo (3).
My recent(ish) former work colleague Abdul Rahman stays in fifth despite his modest 38 point weekly score, due to captain Semenyo (12) Gvardiol (9) Mbeumo (3), and Sels (3). My youngest son, and former champ Latrell Oscar remains in sixth, closing the distance following his decent 48 point wildcard weekly score. With Livramento (11) Mateta (8) Munoz (8) Burn (6) and Sels (3).
Staying in seventh is my blood brother Wayne Watson, with a weekly score of 34 points. Mainly due to Rogers (9) Semenyo (6) Damsgaard (3), and Sels (3). Moving up to eighth place is this week’s Highest Scorer. The two-time champ Jeff Franklin scored a very decent 55 point wildcard week, which also made him this week’s joint Highest Mover as he moved up two places from 10th. Doing the business was J.Murphy (16) Gvardiol (9) Mateta (8) Burn (6), and Henderson (3).
Moving down to ninth is my middle son and devoted Arsenal fan Jahsiah Tobierrie following a 32 point week, with his only real contributions coming from Munoz (8) Damsgaard (3) Mbeumo (3) and Sels (3). Also moving down but staying in the top ten is my former work colleague and another Arsenal man, Mr James, due to a weekly score of 36 points, following Munoz (8) B.Fernandez (3) and Sels (3) with AM Glasner (8). But he will be upset at leaving Flekken (10) on the bench.
This week’s other joint Highest Mover is another former work colleague and Spurs man, Keith Wilson, who moved up two places from 23rd to 21st following his 39 point week. With contributions from vice captain Mbeumo (6) Flekken (10) Barnes (8), and Luis Diaz (6).
Full steam ahead to week 31. We are heading to the final stretch of the season. Make it count y’all.
