WEEK 33

This week, in a reduced Premier League. Liverpool destroyed Spurs 5-1 to become Premier League champions. Brentford surprised Notts Forest with a 2-0 away win. Chelsea boosted their Champions League hopes with a 1-0 home win over Everton.

Newcastle also boosted their Champions League hopes with a 3-0 win over Ipswich. Wolves made it six league wins in a row as they beat Leicester 3-0 at home. Brighton beat West Ham 3-2 with a last-minute wonder strike.

Fulham beat Southampton 2-1 away, and Man Utd got a stoppage-time goal to draw 1-1 at Bournemouth.

In the ITYFL, three-time champ Danny Milton took a massive step towards a fourth title, with a commanding 41 point lead, thanks to an excellent free-hit 91 point weekly score. Doing the business was captain Salah (16) Cunha (15) Trippier (15) Ait Nouri (11) Sessegnon (11) Luis Diaz (7) Isak (6) Strand Larsen (6) Iwobi (5) and Barnes (5).

Nordin Gharib sits second, knowing he has to respond following his free-hit 63 point week. With captain Isak (12) Cunha (15) Salah (8) Cucurella (6) Livramento (6) Iwobi (5), and B.Fernandes (4) but could have done without leaving Mac Allister (10) on the bench.

Closing the distance slightly in third is, flying the flag for JA & USA, Sanjay Beecher, due to his very decent free-hit weekly score of 82 points. His contributions came from captain Salah (16) Cunha (15) Ait Nouri (11) Bowen (10) Semenyo (9) Isak (6) Livramento (6), and Barnes (3).

Consolidating a Champions League place in fourth is my recent(ish) former work colleague Abdul Rahman, with a decent 75 point week. Following captain Salah (16) Semenyo (9) Luis Diaz (7) Isak (6) Livramento (6) Barnes (3), and a smart AM Frank (20).

This week’s Highest Mover is my youngest son and former champ Latrell Oscar, who moved up three places from 8th to 5th, and closed the distance to just nine points, thanks to a superb free-hit, 96 point weekly score, making his this week’s Highest Scorer.  Doing the business was captain Cunha (30) Sa (12) Ait Nouri (11) Sessegnon (11) Salah (8) Luis Diaz (7) Isak (6), and J.Murphy (6).

Two-time champ Jeff Franklin moves up one place to sixth, just six points behind, following his very decent free-hit weekly score of 87 points. With captain Isak (12) Cunha (15) Ait Nouri (11) Sessegnon (11) Sanchez (9) Salah (8) Livramento (6) Mitoma (6) and J.Murphy.

Owen Barnes is down into seventh, with a 66 point week. His contributions came from captain Salah (16) Ait Nouri (11) Sanchez (9) Semenyo (9) Isak (6), and Alexander-Arnold (5). Also moving down is my blood brother Wayne Watson to eighth, due to his free-hit 69 point weekly score, with captain Salah (16) Cunha (15) Semenyo (9) Wissa (7) Cucurella (6) Isak (6) and B.Fernandez (4) but will be upset at leaving Flekken (13) on the bench.

My former work colleague Mr James consolidates his top ten position in ninth, due to a 60 point week, following captain Isak (12) Flekken (13) Salah (8) Wissa (7) Cucurella (6) and J.Murphy (6). My middle son, Jahsiah Tobierrie, stays in tenth following a weekly score of 50 points and contributions from captain Isak (12) Ait Nouri (11) Salah (8) and Schar (6).
