In the penultimate game week of the Premier League. Arsenal beat Newcastle 1-0 at home to secure a second-place finish. Man City erased past Bournemouth 3-1 at home to virtually seal Champions League football. Brighton came back twice to beat Liverpool 3-1 at home.
Chelsea beat Man Utd 1-0 at home to move within one game of Champions League qualification. Aston Villa beat Spurs 2-0 at home to keep their Champions League hopes alive. Notts Forest beat West Ham 2-1 away to boost their hopes of a top-five finish.
Everton wrapped up their last-ever game at Goodison with a comfortable 2-0 win against Southampton. Fulham came from a goal down to score two in two minutes to beat Brentford 3-2 away. Leicester eased past Ipswich 2-0 at home, and FA Cup winners Crystal Palace beat Wolves 4-2 at home.
In the ITYFL, three-time champ Danny Milton is one week away from making it an unprecedented quadruple of titles, due to a commanding 41 point lead, following his decent weekly score of 47 points. With captain De Bruyne (6) Wissa (10) Bowen (8) Mbeumo (5) Sarr (5), and Watkins (5).
Nordin Gharib remains in second place, hoping for a miracle on the final day following his 51 point week. Due to captain De Bruyne (6) Marmoush (8) Milenkovic (8) Raya (7) Eze (6) Elanga (5) and Sarr (5).
Flying the flag for JA & USA, Sanjay Beecher consolidates third place thanks to an excellent 69 point weekly score, making him this week’s Highest Scorer. Doing the business was captain Eze (12) Kansa (15) Wissa (10) Bowen (8) Marmoush (8) Elanga (5), and Mbeumo (5).
Up into fourth is two-times champ Jeff Franklin, due to his very decent 62 point week. His contributions came from captain Mbeumo (10) Konsa (15) Wissa (10) Rogers (6) Elanga (5) Sarr (5), and Watkins (5).
This sees my recent(ish) former work colleague Abdul Rahman move down to fifth, following his wildcard weekly score of 46 points, mainly due to captain Wissa (20) Mbeumo (5) Watkins (5) and Sels (3). My youngest son and former champ Latrell Oscar stays in sixth due to a weekly score of 41 points, with captain De Bruyne (6) Marmoush (8) Rogers (6) Mbeumo (5) N.Williams (4) and Sels (3).
In seventh is Owen Barnes following a disappointing 32 point weekly score. His only real contributions came from Marmoush (8) Sanchez (6), and Mbeumo (5). Just two points behind in eighth is my blood brother Wayne Watson, despite a modest 39 point week, with Wissa (10) Marmoush (8) Rogers (6) and Sels (3).
My former work colleague Mr James remains in ninth place with a decent 51 point weekly score, due to captain Watkins (10) Cucurella (15) Wissa (10), and Mbeumo (5). My middle son Jahsiah Tobierrie holds onto a top-ten spot, following his 39 point week and main contributions from captain Marmoush (16) Mbeumo (5) Sels (3) and Soumare (3).
There was no Highest Mover this week, as only three managers moved up, and all just by one place. Those were Jeff Franklin, Derick Fredericks and Tommy Lee.
Lastly, congratulations to the ITYFL Cup finalists Jeff Franklin and league and cup double-chasing Danny Milton. Good Luck to both.
Full steam ahead to the last week of the Premier League season. Make it count y’all.
