WEEK 4

This week in the Premier League, Manchester City brushed aside United 3-0 at home in the Manchester derby. Arsenal eased past Notts Forest at home by the same score. Liverpool needed a last-minute penalty to defeat Burnley 1-0 away.

Tottenham impressed with a 3-0 away win at West Ham. Bournemouth beat Brighton 2-1 at home. Newcastle got their first win of the season with a 1-0 home win over Wolves. Fulham needed an own goal to beat Leeds 1-0 at home.

Brentford got a late-minute goal to draw 2-2 at home to Chelsea. Palace drew 0-0 at home to Sunderland, and Aston Villa drew 0-0 at Everton.

In the ITYFL, former champ (ahem) Charles Denton has extended his lead at the top to 26 points thanks to an excellent 88 point week, the second-highest score so far this season. Due to captain Haaland (26) Van de Ven (14) Caicedo (12) Joao Pedro (7) Gyokeres (6) Pickford (6), and Porro (6).

Moving up to joint second is Owen Barnes, following a very decent weekly score of 79 points with captain Salah (18) Semenyo (13) Gabriel (9) Joao Pedro (7) Gyokeres (6) Raya (6) Reinildo (6) Enzo (4) and Frimpong (4).

The other person in joint second is Yours Truly, I scored a decent 73 point weekly score, with contributions coming from captain Haaland (26) Gabriel (9) Joao Pedro (7) Eze (6) Gyokeres (6) Munoz (5) Spence (5) and Enzo (4).

Coach Simz, Simoen Edwards moves up into a Champions League place thanks to his very decent weekly score of 84 points, the fourth-highest score so far this season. following captain Joao Pedro (14) Zubimendi (16) Van de Ven (14) Semenyo (13) Salah (9) Guehi (6) and Frimpong (4).

Up to fifth is Sanjay Beecher, flying the flag for JA & USA, with a very decent 80 point wildcard weekly score. Due to captain Haaland (26) Semenyo (13) Roefs (10) Salah (9) Guehi (5), and Richards (5). Just four points behind, moving up to sixth is Timothy Stigwood, due to a 73 point wildcard week and contributions from captain Gyokeres (12) Semenyo (13) Salah (9) Virgil (8) Joao Pedro (7) Alisson (6) Calafiori (5) and Spence (5).

Moving up into seventh place is this week’s Highest Scorer, my old football club mate Darren Michael, with an excellent weekly score of 89 points. The highest score so far this season. Doing the business were captain Salah (18) Van de Ven (14) Anderson (10) Sarr (8) Joao Pedro (7), and Konsa (6). Also moving up into eighth, is my middle son, Jahsiah T, following his decent 74 point weekly score with captain Salah (18) Van de Ven (14) Haaland (13) Joao Pedro (7) Gyokeres (6), and Richards (6).

Just two points behind his brother in ninth is my youngest son and former champ Latrell Oscar. He had a very decent 80 point week, with contributions from captain Haaland (26) Romero (12) Virgil (8) Joao Pedro (7) Raya (6) and Burn (6). Moving down to tenth, but just a point behind, is Tommy Lee, following his 56 point week. Due to captain Eze (12) Gabriel (9) Timber (8) Joao Pedro (7), and Raya (6).

This week’s Highest Mover was my long-time mate, Francis Norville, who stormed up a massive eight places from 20th to 12th, following his decent wildcard weekly score of 75 points. Thanks to captain Haaland (26) Semenyo (12) Eze (6) Gyokeres (6) Guehi (6) Spence (5) and Enzo (4).
