SEASON TWELVE

WEEK 6

This week in the Premier League, Crystal Palace surprised Liverpool with a last-second 2-1 home win to remain the only unbeaten team in the league. Arsenal also secured a dramatic late win, scoring a last-minute goal to come from behind and defeat Newcastle 2-1 away.

Brentford added more misery on Man Utd with a 3-1 home win, while Brighton beat 10-man Chelsea 3-1 away. Sunderland continued their good start to the season with a 1-0 win at Forest. Man City destroyed Burnley 5-1 at home. Aston Villa beat Fulham 3-1 at home.

Bournemouth got a very late goal to salvage a point with a 2-2 draw at Leeds. Spurs got an even later goal to salvage a point as they drew 1-1 at home to Wolves, and West Ham drew 1-1 at Everton.

In the ITYFL, former champ (ahem) Charles Denton remains top for a fifth week in a row following a very decent 68 point weekly score. Thanks mainly to captain Haaland (32) Gabriel (13), and Senesi (7).

Coach Simz Simeon Edwards stays within touching distance in second, some 31 points adrift due to a very decent 67 point week. With captain Haaland (32) Kelleher (8) Guehi (7), and Semenyo (7).

This week’s Highest Scorer was my oldest son under his alias, Tommy Devito, thanks to a tremendous free hit weekly score of 92 points, the highest score so far this season. This also made him this week’s Highest Mover, as he stormed up 11 places from 14th to 3rd, the second highest this season. Doing the business were captain Haaland (32) Gabriel (13) Enzo (9) Rice (9) Gravenberch (8) Guehi (7), and Semenyo (7).

Yours Truly is in joint third, holding onto the Champions League places. I notched a decent 63 point weekly score, mainly due to captain Haaland (32) and Gabriel (13).

A point behind in fifth is Sanjay Beecher, flying the flag for JA & USA, following a decent weekly score of 62 points, with captain Haaland (32) Semenyo (7) Senesi (7) and Paqueta (4). This sees Owen Barnes move down to sixth place, due to a 51 point week. His contributions came from captain Salah (4) Gabriel (13) Enzo (9) Semenyo (7), and Senesi (7).

Also moving down was my old football club mate, Darren Michael, into seventh. He notched a weekly score of 57 points due to captain Haaland (32) Semenyo (7), and Sarr (4). My youngest son and former champ Latrell Oscar moves up to eighth, with a decent 66 point weekly score, with main contributions coming from triple captain Haaland (48) and M.Rogers (5).

My OldSkool mate Derick Fredericks stays in ninth place following a decent 61 point week. With captain Haaland (32) Guehi (7), and Semenyo (7). Moving up to joint tenth is my long-time bredrin Francis Norville due to a decent weekly score of 62 points, following captain Haaland (32) Enzo (9) Guehi (7) and Semenyo (7).

Moving down but holding onto joint tenth is Tommy Lee, despite a slightly disappointing 46 point week, with contributions from captain Kudus (4) Gabriel (13) Bowen (9) and Guehi (7). Lastly, well done to September’s manager of the month, my oldest/longest friend, Delroy Preddie.
