SEASON TWELVE

WEEK 11

This week in the Premier League, Man City defeated Liverpool 3-0 at home in a game marred by controversy. Aston Villa destroyed Bournemouth 4-0 at home. Chelsea brushed Wolves aside 3-0 at home. Brentford surprised Newcastle 3-1 at home.

Notts Forest eased past Leeds 3-1 at home. Everton beat Fulham 2-0 at home. West Ham made it back-to-back wins as they beat Burnley 3-2 at home. Sunderland got a late equaliser as they drew 2-2 at home to league leaders Arsenal.

Man Utd went from leading 1-0 to going 2-1 in stoppage time, but got a late goal to draw at Spurs 2-2, and Crystal Palace drew 0-0 at home to Brighton.

In the ITYFL, league leader and former champ (ahem) Charles Denton benefited from a low-scoring week as he stretched his lead at the top to 49, due to a decent weekly score of 45 points. Thanks to captain Haaland (8) Saka (12) Joao Pedro (7) Munoz (6), and Sarr (3).

Coach Simz, Simeon Edwards remains in second place following a modest 36 point week, with captain Haaland (8) Saka (12) Zubimendi (5) and Wan-Bissaka (3).
Holding his position in third is Owen Barnes, despite his modest weekly score of 31 points. His only real contributions came from captain Haaland (8) Joao Pedro (7) Esteve (3), and Xhaha (3).

My oldest son, under his alias Tommy Devito, moves up into fourth, just four points behind, due to a very decent 55 point week, with captain Haaland (8) Thiago (3) Saka (13) Mbeumo (7), and Tuanzebe (3).

A further four points behind is my long-time bredrin Francis Norville, who stormed up four places from ninth to fifth, making him this week’s joint Highest Mover, thanks to his superb weekly score of 67 points, which also made him this week’s Highest Scorer. Doing the business were captain Haaland (8) Martinez (14) Saka (12) Buendia (11) Mbeumo (7) Chalobah (6), and Woltemade (5).

This sees my old football club made Darren Michael move down to seventh, but just two points behind, following a weekly score of 43 points and main contributions from captain Haaland (8) Saka (12) Cucurella (6) Munoz (6), and Ndiaye (3). Tommy Lee moves up to eighth, with a decent weekly score of 52 points, due to vice captain Bowen (4) Thiago (13) Gibbs-White (10) Joao Pedro (7) Mbeumo (7) Grealish (3), and Pope (3).

Down to ninth and seemingly in free fall, sadly, is Yours Truly. I had a modest 40 point week with captain Haaland (8) Joao Pedro (7) Mbeumo (7) Munoz (6) Enzo (3), and Foden (3). This week’s other Highest Mover was my middle son Jahsiah Tobiere, who moved up four places from 14th to joint 10th, following his decent weekly score of 55 points, thanks to captain Haaland (8) Thiago (13) Richards (8) Joao Pedro (7) Mbeumo (7) and Donnarumma (6).

Also in joint tenth, and holding onto a top ten spot, is my OldSkool mate Derrick Fredericks, despite his disappointing 29 point weekly score. Mainly due to captain Haaland (8) Mbeumo (7), and Woltemade (5).
