SEASON TWELVE

WEEK 12

This week in the Premier League. Arsenal destroyed Spurs 4-1 in the North London derby. Notts Forest destroyed Liverpool 3-0 at Anfield. Ten-man Everton shocked Man Utd with a 1-0 win at Old Trafford.

Newcastle surprised Man City with a 2-1 home win. Chelsea beat Burnley 2-0 away. Crystal Palace beat Wolves away by the same score. Fulham beat Sunderland 1-0 at home.

Villa came from behind to beat Leeds 2-1 away. Brighton beat Brentford 2-1 at home, and Bournemouth came from two goals down to draw 2-2 with West Ham at home.

In the ITYFL, former champ (ahem) Charles Denton took advantage of a low-scoring week to extend his lead at the top to over fifty points thanks to a decent 44 point weekly score, with captain Haaland (4) Munoz (14) Timber (5) Saka (4) Mukiele (4) Sarr (3), and Senesi (3)

Losing ground in second is Coach Simz, Simeon Edwards, following a disappointing 26 point week, with contributions mainly from captain Haaland (4) Guehi (5) Saka (3), and Esteve (3).

This week’s Highest Mover was Tommy Lee, who moved up four places from seventh to joint third, due a very decent weekly score of 58 points, with captain Kudus (4) Murillo (17) Gibbs-White (8) Rice (6) Guehi (5) Timber (5) Bowen (4) Thiago (4) and Pope (3).

Also moving up to joint third is my old football club mate Darren Michael, who had a decent 52 point weekly score, following captain Haaland (4) Munoz (14) Welbeck (8) Cucurella (6) Timber (5) Saka (4), and Roden (3).

My oldest son, under his alias Tommy Devito, is down to joint fifth, due to a modest 38 point week, with contributions from captain Haaland (4) Sels (7) Rice (6) Guehi (5) Saka (4) Thaigo (4), and Senesi (3). Also down to joint fifth is Owen Barnes, following his modest 34 point weekly score, due to captain Haaland (4) Rice (6) Guehi (5) Timber (5) Esteve (3), and Senesi (3).

My long-time bredrin, Francis Norville, moved down to seventh. He also scored a modest weekly score of 34 points, with captain Haaland (4) Chalobah (6) Cucurella (6) Rice (6) Guehi (5) Saka (4), and Martinez (3). Yours Truly moved up to eighth place. I had a commendable 51 point week, due to captain Haaland (4) Munez (14) Enzo (11) Rice (6) Timber (5) Esteve (3) and Roefs (3).

This sees Sanjay Beecher, flying the flag for JA & USA, down to ninth, with his modest weekly score of 35 points and contributions from captain Haaland (4) Welbeck (8) Guehi (5) Wieffer (4) Grealish (3) Roefs (3) and Senesi (3). Two-time champ Jeff Franklin moves up into the top ten following a decent 49 point weekly score, thanks to captain Haaland (4) Dewsbury-Hall (13) Neto (8) Richards (6) Timber (5) Saka (4) Roden (3), and Senesi (3).

This week’s Highest Scorer was my daughter, The OG Nae, in her second season, thanks to an excellent weekly score of 69 points. Doing the business were captain Haaland (4) Eze (20) N.Williams (13) Enzo (11) O’Brien (6) Guehi (5) Iwobi (3), and Senesi (3).

We are back in the swing of things and with no international break until March, and soon to approach the busy football period, it’s all systems go. So, full steam ahead to week 13, make it count y’all.
