SEASON TWELVE

WEEK 13

This week in the Premier League. Newcastle destroyed Everton 4-1 away. Sunderland continued their good form with a thrilling 3-2 home win over Bournemouth. Man Utd came from a goal down to beat Crystal Palace away 2-1. 

Liverpool got back to winning ways with a 2-0 win at West Ham. Brighton beat Notts Forest away by the same score. Man City needed a stoppage-time goal to beat Leeds 3-2 at home. 

Brentford continued their fine recent form with a 3-1 home win over Burnley. Fulham scored two very early goals, then held out for a 2-1 win at Spurs, and 10-man Chelsea got a credible 1-1 draw at home to Arsenal. 

In the ITYFL, game week 13, 2025/26 was the joint-third-lowest average point week for a ten-game schedule in fantasy history (35) and the joint-tenth all-time. Although that will benefit the guys at the top, former champ (ahem) Charles Denton scored a very modest 20 point week, with main contributions coming from captain Haaland (4) Mateta (6), and Saka (5). 

This week’s joint Highest Mover was also the November manager of the month, Tommy Lee. He moved up three places from fifth to second, thanks to his decent 43 point weekly score, with a smart captain choice of Kudus (16), Thiago (13), and Rice (4). 

My oldest son, under his alias Tommy Devito, moved up to third place thanks to a decent weekly score of 38 points, following captain Haaland (4) Thiago (13) Mateta (6) Saka (5), and Rice (4). 

Owen Barnes has also moved up into a Champions League place, just five points behind, following his 33 point weekly score and contributions from captain Haaland (4) Thaigo (13) Xhaka (5) Rice (4), and Raya (3). 

Down to fifth, although just two points behind, is my old football club mate Darren Michael, due to 27 point week, with captain Haaland (4) Kudus (8) and Saka (5). A further four points behind, Coach Simz, Simeon Edwards is down into sixth, due to a modest weekly score of 21 points, following captain Haaland (4) Woltemade (7) Saka (5) and Esteve (3). 

Four points behind, my long-time bredrin Francis Norville stays in seventh place with a steady weekly score of 31 points and main contributions from captain Haaland (4) Martinez (7) Woltemade (7) Saka (5) and Rice (4). Up to eighth, is Sanjay Beecher, flying the flag for JA & USA, despite a modest 28 point week, with captain Haaland (4) Mateta (6) O’Reilly (4) and Weiffer (4). 

This sees Yours Truly moved down to ninth place. Although just a point behind. I had a modest weekly score of 25 points, following captain Haaland (4) Mateta (6) and Rice (4). Consolidating a place in the top ten is the two-time champ, Jeff Franklin, with a decent 39 point week. Due to triple captain Haaland (6) Dewsbury-Hall (7) Cash (6) Mateta (6), and Saka (5). 

This week’s Highest Scorer was my Arsenal mate, and old work colleague, Mr James, with, given the circumstances, a fantastic weekly score of 61 points. Doing the business was a smart captain choice Thiago (26), Gakpo (14) Mateta (6), and Saka (5).

This week’s other joint Highest Mover was my oldest mate, Hayes and Yeading’s Delroy Preddie, who moved up three places from 16th to 13th, thanks to his decent 47 point weekly score, due to captain Haaland (4) Henderson (8) Verbruggen (7) Mateta (6) Van Hecke (6) Virgil (6) and O’Reilly (4). 

Full steam ahead to week 14, it’s a quick turnaround to midweek fixtures, make it count y’all.
