WEEK 15

This week in the Premier League. Aston Villa blew the title race wide open with a 2-1 home win over Arsenal. Man City eased past Sunderland 3-0 at home. Everton continued their good form with a 3-0 home win over Notts Forest.

Man Utd brushed past Wolves 4-1 away. Crystal Palace secure a 2-1 win at Fulham. Spurs got a much-needed win, beating Brentford 2-0 at home. Newcastle beat Burnley 2-1 at home.

Leeds got a last-minute goal to draw 3-3 at home to Liverpool. West Ham drew 1-1 at Brighton, and Bournemouth drew 0-0 at home to Chelsea.

In the ITYFL, just like in the Premier League, the title race has been blown wide open as we approach the busy Christmas period. Former champ (ahem) Charles Denton remains top but just by a solitary point, following his 43 point weekly score, with captain Haaland (4) Foden (12) Senesi (8) Anderson (4) Saka (4), and Timber (3).

Motoring up to second, just a point off the top, is Coach Simz Simeon Edwards, thanks to his very decent weekly score of 63 points, due to captain Haaland (4) Ekitike (13) Foden (12) Guehi (8) Mbeumo (8) Van de Ven (6) Saka (4), and Esteve (3).

This sees my oldest son, under his alias Tommy Devito, move down to third following a 42 point week, with main contributions from captain Haaland (4) Foden (12) Guehi (8) Rice (6) and Timber (3).

My old football club mate, Darren Michael, storms up to fourth place due to his very decent bench boost 68 point weekly score, making him this week’s Highest Scorer. Doing the business were captain Haaland (4) Foden (12) Sanchez (10) Ndiaye (8) Cucurella (6) O’Reilly (6) Van de Ven (6) Saka (4) Semenyo (3) and, from off the bench Dubravka (3).

Owen Barnes moved down to fifth, following his 53 point week, with captain Haaland (4) Foden (12) Guehi (8) Mbeumo (8) Rice (6) Esteve (3) Semenyo (3) and Timber (3). My long-time bredrin Francis Norville stays in sixth, due to a very decent weekly score of 63 points and contributions from captain Haaland (4) Foden (12) Chalobah (11) Guehi (8) Mbeumo (8) Rice (6) Martinez (4), and Semenyo (3).

Remaining in seventh place in Tommy Lee with a decent 53 point weekly score, due to captain Kudus (6) Bowen (9) Guehi (8) Mbeumo (8) Senesi (8) Rice (6), and Timber (6). The two-time champ Jeff Franklin stays in eighth, following a modest 45 point week, with main contributions from captain Haaland (4) Cash (9) Mbeumo (8) Vicario (6) Richards (4) Timber (4), and Semenyo (3).

Moving up to ninth, despite a modest weekly score of 41 points, is Sanjay Beecher, flying the flag for JA and USA. Due to captain Haaland (4) Guehi (8) O’Reilly (6) Van de Ven (6) Doku (3) Dubravka (3) and Semenyo (3). Up into the top ten, just a point behind, is my middle son Jahsiah Tobierre, following his weekly score of 49 points, with captain Haaland (4) Mbeumo (8) Senesi (8) Donnarumma (6) Rice (6) Richards (4) Minteh (3) Semenyo (3), and Timber (3).

This week’s Highest Mover was my Old Skool mate Derick Fredericks, who had a very decent 67 point weekly score, which moved him up five places from 17th to 12th. Doing the business were captain Haaland (4) Ekitike (13) Foden (12) Guehi (8) Cucurella (6) Rice (6) Van de Ven (6) Gravenberch (5), and Semenyo (3).
