WEEK 17

This week in the Premier League. Aston Villa beat Man Utd 2-1 at home. Leeds destroyed Crystal Palace 4-1 at home. Man City eased past West Ham 3-0 at home.

Arsenal just squeezed past Everton 1-0 away. Liverpool beat 9-man Tottenham 2-1 away. Brentford beat Wolves 2-0 away. Fulham beat Notts Forest 1-0 at home.

Chelsea came from two goals down at halftime to draw 2-2 at Newcastle. Burnley got a very late goal to draw 1-1 at Bournemouth, and Sunderland drew 0-0 at Brighton.

In the ITYFL, we have joint Christmas Number Ones. My football club mate, Darren Michael, has rocketed to joint top, following an excellent 98 point weekly score, the 4th-highest this season. Thanks to triple captain Haaland (48) Hincapie (10) Semenyo (10) Ekitike (9) O’Reilly (6), and Sanchez (4).

The long-time leader, former champ (ahem) Charles Denton, is also the Christmas Number One, following his very decent bench boost 90 point week, mainly due to captain Haaland (32) Rogers (15) Roefs (7) Gvardiol (6) Timber (6) Senesi (6), and a combined eight points from off the bench.

Moving up to third, just three points behind the top two, is this week’s Highest Scorer, coach Simz, Simeon Edwards, with a superb weekly score of 103 points, the 2nd-highest this season. Doing the business were mainly, triple captain Haaland (48) Kelleher (13) Woltemade (13) Semenyo (10), and Ekitike (9).

My oldest son, under his alias Tommy Devito, is down to fourth place, despite a 75 point weekly score, with captain Haaland (32) Rice (11) Raya (7) Gvardiol (6), and Timber (6).

Staying in fifth is my long-time bredrin, Francis Norville, who recorded a decent 81 point week. Due to captain Haaland (32) Rogers (15) Rice (11), and Gvardiol (6). But will be upset at leaving Calvert-Lewin (13) on the bench. Owen Barnes remains in sixth place following a 78 point weekly score, and contributions from captain Haaland (32) Rice (11) Semenyo (10) Raya (7), and Timber (6).

Two-time champ Jeff Franklin moves up to seventh place, with a decent bench boost 87 point weekly score, due to captain Haaland (32) Semenyo (10) Anderson (7) Timber (6), and from off the bench Calvert-Lewin (13). Just a point behind, Timothy Stigwood moves up to joint eighth, following his very decent 92 point week, the joint 10th-highest this season, with captain Haaland (32) Rogers (15) Woltermade (13) Semenyo (10) Roefs (7) Timber (6), and Senesi (6).

Also in joint eighth is my youngest son and former champ Latrell Oscar, with a decent weekly score of 85 points. His contributions came from captain Haaland (32) Rogers (15) Rice (11) Raya (7) Gvardiol (6), and Anderson (4). This week’s joint Highest Mover is Sanjay Beecher, flying the flag for JA & USA. He moved up five places from 15th to 10th, following his very decent weekly score of 95 points, the 7th-highest this season, with captain Haaland (32) Rogers (15) Woltemade (13) Semenyo (10) Ballard (9), and Roefs (7).

This week’s other joint Highest Mover was my daughter, The OG Nae, who also moved up five places, from 18th to 13th, due to her very decent 97 point week, the 5th-highest this season. Thanks to captain Haaland (48) Rogers (15) Woltermade (13) Rice (11) Ekitike (9), and Raya (7).

Lastly, well done also to my oldest nephew, Tyrell Miles-Brown, whose weekly score of 101 points was the 3rd highest this season. Also, my blood brother Wayne Watson, whose 96 point weekly score was the joint 6th-highest this season.
