Fantasy Football S12 WEEK 18 Round Up

I TELL YAH INVITATIONAL LEAGUE

SEASON TWELVE

WEEK 18

This week in the Premier League, Aston Villa came from a goal down at halftime to beat Chelsea 2-1 at Stamford Bridge. Man City left it late to beat Notts Forest 2-1 away. Arsenal maintained their top spot with a 2-1 home win over Brighton.

Brentford destroyed Bournemouth 4-1 at home. Spurs got a much-needed 1-0 win at Palace. In another London derby, Fulham beat West Ham 1-0 away. Man Utd beat Newcastle 1-0 at home.

Liverpool continued their recent good run of form with a 2-1 home win over bottom club Wolves. Leeds drew 1-1 at Sunderland, and Everton drew 0-0 at Burnley.

In the IFYFL, it’s starting to get really interesting as we have another new league leader. Coach Simz, Simeon Edwards has moved to the summit of the league, thanks to his excellent 62 point weekly score. Doing the business were captain Haaland (4) Dalot (13) Van de Ven (11) Semenyo (9) Saka (7) Ekitike (5), and Kelleher (4) – but will still be upset at leaving on the bench Dubravka (11) and Reijnders (8)

Last week’s league leader, my old football club mate Darren Micheal, has moved down to second, eleven points behind, following his 48 point week, with captain Ekitike (10) Semenyo (9) Saka (7) James (6), and Wilson (5).

This sees long-time league leader, (ahem) Charles Denton down to third, just four points behind due to a weekly score of 44 points and contributions from captain Haaland (4) Semenyo (9) Gvardiol (8) Ekitike (5) Rice (5) Thiago (5), and Roefs (3).

Moving up to the Champions League places in fourth is my long-time bredrin Francis Norvile, with a decent 52 point weekly score. Following triple captain Ekitike (15) Calvert-Lewin (8) Gvardiol (8) Saka (7), and Rice (5).

My oldest son, under his alias Tommy Devito, has moved down to fifth place, due to a modest 33 point week. His main contributions came from captain Haaland (4) Gvardiol (8) Rice (5), and Thiago (5). Owen Barnes remains in sixth, following his weekly score of 38 points, mainly due to captain Haaland (4) Semenyo (9) Xhaka (6) Rice (5), and Alderete (4).

Two-time champ Jeff Franklin stays in seventh, he scored a decent 51 point weekly score, with captain Haaland (4) Semenyo (9) Calvert-Lewin (8) Saka (7) Vicario (7) Anderson (5), and Thiago (5) – but will be upset at leaving Dubravka (11) on the bench. My youngest son and former champ Latrell Oscar moves up to eighth, just five points behind, following a 47 point week, with captain Haaland (4) Van de Ven (11) Gvardiol (8) Rice (5) Thiago (5), and Wilson (5).

Moving up to ninth, six points behind, is Sanjay Beecher, flying the flag for JA & USA, following a 44 point weekly score, his main contribution came from captain Haaland (4) Van de Ven (11) Semenyo (9) Ekitike (5) Wilson (5) and Roefs (3) – But another one who will be upset at Dubravka (11) on the bench. Proving how tight the league is this season. This week’s Highest Mover was my middle son, Jahsiah Tobierrie, who moved up five places from 15th to 10th, due to his weekly score of 47 points, with captain Haaland (4) Ekdal (9) Semenyo (9) Gvardiol (8) Rice (5), and Thiago (5) – but yet another with Dubravka (11) on the bench.

This week’s Highest Scorer was my old work colleague and Arsenal mate, Mr James, who scored a very impressive bench-boost, 76 point weekly score. Doing the business were captain Ekitike (10) Dalot (13) Calvert-Lewin (8) Saka (7), and from off the bench, Dorgu (17) and Vicario (7).

Full steam ahead to the midweek games, it’s a quick turnaround, so make it count y’all.
