WEEK 21

This midweek in the Premier League, Newcastle came back three times to beat Leeds 4-3 in a thriller at home. Bournemouth beat Spurs 3-2 at home in another good game. Brentford brushed Sunderland aside 3-0.

Fulham beat 10-man Chelsea 2-1 at home. Notts Forest beat West Ham 2-1 away in an important game at the bottom of the table. Burnley got a credible 2-2 at home to Man Utd.

Brighton also got a credible 1-1 draw at Man City. Wolves drew 1-1 at nine-man Everton. Liverpool drew 0-0 at Arsenal, and Crystal Palace drew 0-0 at home to Aston Villa.

In the ITYFL, Coach Simz, Simeon Edwards remains in pole position, thanks to his very decent 66 point weekly score. Due to captain Haaland (12) Kelleher (12) Thiago (12) Gabriel (6) Guehi (6) Semenyo (6) Dorgu (5), and Saka (3).

Former champ (ahem) Charles Denton has moved up into second place, following his decent wildcard 64 point week, with captain Haaland (12) Thiago (12) Bruno Guimaraes (11) Gabriel (6) Semenyo (6) Tarkowski (4) Pickford (3) Rice (3), and Rogers (3).

This sees my old football club mate Darren Michael move down to third, due to a weekly score of 53 points and main contributions from captain Haaland (12) Bruno Guimaraes (11) Wilson (9) Woltemade (5) Dubravka (3) Mukiele (3) Rice (3), and Saka (3).

My longtime bredrin Francis Norville remains in fourth place, still with hopes of a title challenge. He stayed in touch with a 53 point weekly score, following captain Haaland (12) Thiago (12) Calvert-Lewin (9) Gabriel (6) Chalobah (3) Rice (3) Rogers (3), and Saka (3).

In joint fifth is Owen Barnes, who had a weekly score of 52 points and contributions from captain Haaland (12) Bruno Guimaraes (11) Gabriel (6) Timber (6) Pickford (3) Rice (3) and Rogers (3) Also in joint fifth, is my oldest son, under his alias Tommy Devito, with a 57 point week. Two-time champ Jeff Franklin is in seventh, following his decent weekly score of 63 points, with captain Haaland (12) Thiago (12) Calvert-Lewin (8) Cash (6) Timber (6) Dorgu (5) Neto (5) Rogers (3), and Saka (3). My middle son, Jahsiah Tobierre, remains in eighth place due to a very decent wildcard 66 point week. His contributions were from captain Haaland (12) Thiago (12) Bruno Guimaraes (11) Gabriel (6) Guehi (6) Semenyo (6) Chalobah (3) Rice (3), and Rogers (3).

My youngest son and former champ Latrell Oscar moved up to joint ninth, due to a 52 point weekly score, with captain Haaland (12) Bruno Guimaraes (11) Saliba (7) Gabriel (6) Raya (6), and Rogers (3). This week’s Highest Mover was Sanjay Beecher, flying the flag for JA & USA. He was the only manager to move up more than one place, from twelfth into joint ninth. Following his weekly score of 56 points and contributions from captain Haaland (13) Wilson (9) Calvert Lewin (8) Guehi (6) Semenyo (6) Virgil (6) Dubravka (3), and Rogers (3).

This week’s Highest Scorer was Philippines’ native Jean Ninal, who scored a very decent 67 point week. Doing the business were captain Haaland (12) Thiago (12) Digne (9) Wilson (9) Gabriel (6) Semenyo (6) Woltemade (5) Rogers (3), and Sels (3).
