I TELL YAH INVITATIONAL LEAGUE
SEASON TWELVE
WEEK 23
This week in the Premier League, Man United made it back-to-back impressive wins as they beat Arsenal 3-2 at The Emirates Stadium in one of the games of the season. Aston Villa maintained their title challenge with an impressive 2-0 win at Newcastle.
Bournemouth got a last-minute goal to beat Liverpool 3-2 at home. Notts Forest got a much-needed and impressive 2-0 win at Brentford. Chelsea brushed Crystal Palace aside 3-1 away. West Ham also impressed as they beat Sunderland 3-1 at home.
Fulham got a late goal as they beat Brighton 2-1 at home. Man City eased past Wolves 2-0 at home. Spurs got a late goal to draw 2-2 at Burnley, and Everton drew 1-1 at home to Leeds.
In the ITYFL, it was another low-scoring week, which will benefit league leader Coach Simz, Simeon Edwards, who scored a modest 37 point weekly score. His main contributions came from captain Halland (2) Dorgu (8) Semenyo (8) Guehi (6), and Bruno Fernandes (5).
Closing the distance in second to 30 is former champ (ahem) Charles Denton, with a very decent 48 point week. Due to triple captain Haaland (3) Wilson (10) Rogers (8) Semenyo (8) Guehi (6) Tarkowski (4), and Pickford (3).
In third, just two points behind is my old football club mate Darren Micheal, following a decent wildcard weekly score of 44 points, with captain Haaland (2) Wilson (10) Enzo (8) Semenyo (8) Guehi (6), and Mukiele (4). However, will be upset at leaving a combined 22 points on the bench in Dubravka, Dorgu, and Cunha.
Bulldozing his way into the title race is my long-time bredrin, Francis Norville, who is in fourth but just two points behind, thanks to his very decent bench boost 57 point week. His contributions came from captain Haaland (2) Martinez (10) Mbeumo (10) Rogers (8) Semenyo (8) Guehi (6) Chalobah (4), and just a combined three points off the bench.
My oldest son, under his alias Tommy Devito, stays in fifth following a 40 point week, with captain Haaland (2) Wilson (10) Rogers (8) Semenyo (8), and Chalobah (4). Five points behind in sixth is Owen Barnes, who had a modest weekly score of 36 points, mainly due to captain Haaland (2) Rogers (8) Guehi (6) Pau (6) Bruno Fernandes (5), and Pickford (3).
Tommy Lee moves up to seventh place thanks to a superb weekly score of 74 points. Making him this week’s Highest Scorer. Doing the business were vice captain Bowen (24) Joao Pedro (12) Mbeumo (10) Murillo (8) Gibbs-White (6) Guehi (6), and Pickford (3). Also moving up in my middle son, Jahsiah Tobierrie, who is in eighth, following a decent 49 point weekly score. With captain Haaland (2) Wilson (10) Enzo (8) Rogers (8) Semenyo (8) Mukiele (4), and Tarkowski (4). But will be upset at leaving Bowen (12) on the bench.
This sees two-time champ Jeff Franklin down to ninth, due to his modest 38 point week and main contributions from captain Thiago (4) Anderson (8) Rogers (8) Cash (6), and Neto (3). Sanjay Beecher, flying the flag for JA & USA, moves back up into the top ten after a decent weekly score of 52 points, with captain Haaland (2) Wilson (10) Virgil (9) Rogers (8) Summerville (8) Guehi (6), and Chalobah (4).
This week’s Highest Mover is my oldest mate, and new Hayes and Yeading director of football (Congrats), Delroy Preddie. He moved up four places from 17th to 13th, thanks to his 42 point week and main contributions from captain Haaland (2) Joao Pedro (12) Virgil (9) Semenyo (8), and O’Reilly (6).
Full steam ahead to week 24, make it count y’all.
