I TELL YAH INVITATIONAL LEAGUE
SEASON TWELVE
WEEK 24
This week in the Premier League. Arsenal destroyed Leeds 4-0 away to take a commanding lead at the top, because Spurs came from two goals down at half-time to draw 2-2 at home to Man City.
Ten-man Brentford shocked Aston Villa with a 1-0 away win. Chelsea came from two goals down at halftime to beat West Ham 3-2 at home. Man Utd saw a two-goal lead get pegged back in stoppage time, but scored in stoppage time to beat Fulham 3-2 at Old Trafford.
Sunderland strolled past Burnley 3-0 at home. Bournemouth beat Wolves 2-0 away. Ten-man Notts Forest drew 1-1 at home to Crystal Palace, and Everton drew 1-1 at Brighton.
In the IFYFL, Coach Simz, Simeon Edwards, has taken a significant step in the title race, stretching his lead at the top to over 50 points thanks to a superb 87 point week, making him this week’s Highest Scorer by a considerable margin. Doing the business were captain Haaland (10) Ekitike (13) Wirtz (12) B.Fernandes (10) Joao Pedro (10) Kelleher (10) Gabriel (8) Semenyo (7) Guehi (3), and Rice (3).
My old football club mate Darren Michael moves up to second place in pursuit of a title challenge, due to his very decent 68 point weekly score. With captain Haaland (10) Joao Pedro (10) Mukiele (9) Enzo (8) Gabriel (8) Semenyo (7) Raya (6) Guehi (3), and Rice (3).
My long-time bredrin Francis Norville is determined to mount a title challenge as he moves up to third, just five points behind, following his very decent weekly score of 65 points. His contributions were from captain B.Fernandes (20) Joao Pedro (10) Gabriel (8) Semenyo (7) Haaland (5) Chalobah (3), and Rice (3).
Moving down but holding onto a Champions League place in fourth, just four points behind, is former champ (ahem) Charles Denton, with a 57 point weekly score, due to captain Rice (6) Bowen (8) Gabriel (8) Senesi (8) Semenyo (7) Roefs (6) Haaland (5) and Guehi (3).
Staying in fifth is my oldest son, under his alias Tommy Devito, who scored a modest 48 point weekly score, mainly due to captain Haaland (10) Gabriel (8) Semenyo (7) Raya (6) Timber (5), and Chalobah (3). Up to sixth place, five points behind, following a very decent 66 point week, is Tommy Lee, thanks to captain Bowen (16) Joao Pedro (10) Gabriel (8) Gibbs-White (8) Semenyo (7) Timber (5) Guehi (3), and Rice (3).
This sees Owen Barnes move down to seventh, just a point behind, following his modest weekly score of 47 points, with captain Haaland (10) B.Fernandes (10) Gabriel (8) Timber (5) Guehi (3) and Rice (3). Staying in eighth is my middle son, Jahsiah Tobierrie, with a decent 62 point weekly score, due to captain Rogers (4) Mukiele (9) Bowen (8) Enzo (8) Gabriel (8) Semenyo (7) Roefs (6), and Rice (3).
Two-time champ Jeff Franklin lost ground in joint ninth, after a disappointing 35 point weekly score. His main contributions came from only captain Haaland (10) Le Fee (5), and Timber (5). Moving up to joint ninth is my youngest son and former champ Latrell Oscar, following his very decent 66 point week, with captain Palmer (4) B.Fernandes (10) Mukiele (9) Cherki (8) Gabriel (8) Alderete (6) Raya (6) Saliba (6), and Haaland (5).
This week’s Highest Mover was my OldSkool mate Derick Fredericks, who moved up three places from 15th to 12th thanks to an excellent 70 point week. Doing the business were captain Haaland (10) Wirtz (12) Joao Pedro (10) Enzo (8) Semenyo (7) Aldarete (6) Raya (6) Chalobah (3) Guehi (3), and Rice (3).
