I TELL YAH INVITATIONAL LEAGUE
SEASON TWELVE
WEEK 25
This week in the Premier League. Man City came from a goal down to score two in the last ten minutes to beat Liverpool 2-1 at Anfield. Arsenal brushed Sunderland aside 3-0 at home. Brentford continue to surprise as they beat Newcastle 3-2 at St James’ Park.
Man Utd made it four wins in a row as they beat Spurs 2-0 at. home. Crystal Palace got a much-needed 1-0 win at rivals Brighton. Everton continued to impress with a 2-1 win at Fulham. Chelsea maintained their Champions League place with a 3-1 win at Wolves.
In some big games at the bottom of the table. Leeds beat Notts Forest 3- 1 at home, and West Ham got an important 2-0 win at Burnley. Lastly, Villa continue to see their title hopes slip as they drew 1-1 at Bournemouth.
In the ITYFL, league leader coach Simz, Simeon Edwards, maintains a healthy lead at the top of the table following his steady 61 point weekly score. Due to captain B.Fernandes (20) Haaland (11) Joao Pedro (8) Gabriel (6) Rice (5), and Guehi (3).
Cutting the lead to under fifty points in second place is my old football club mate, Darren Michael, with a decent 69 point week. Following captain Haaland (22) Joao Pedro (8) Mbeumo (8) Raya (7) Gabriel (6) Rice (5) Keane (4), and Guehi (3).
In third, just two points behind, my long-time bredrin Francis Norville has clawed his way into this title race thanks to a very decent weekly score of 72 points. His contributions came from captain B.Fernandes (20) Haaland (11) Joao Pedro (8) Calvert-Lewin (7) Gabriel (6) Martinez (6) Rice (5), and Chalobah (4).
Former champ (ahem) Charles Denton stays in fourth, losing ground but within touching distance following a modest 57 point week, with captain Gabriel (12) Haaland (11) Joao Pedro (8) Mbeumo (8) Rice (5), and Guehi (3).
Owen Barnes has moved up to fifth due to his very decent weekly score of 74 points, thanks to captain Haaland (22) B.Fernandes (10) Rogers (10) Gabriel (6) Timber (6) Rice (5) Thiago (5) Garner (4), and Guehi (3). This sees my oldest son, under his alias Tommy Devito, move down to sixth following a 59 point week, with captain Haaland (22) B.Fernandes (10) Gabriel (6) Rice (5), and Chalobah (4).
Also moving down, but just two points behind in seventh, is Tommy Lee, who had a weekly score of 60 points, due to captain Bowen (4) Summerville (11) Joao Pedro (8) Mbeumo (8) Gabriel (8) Timber (8) Rice (5) Thiago (5), and Guehi (4). Storming up into eighth is my youngest son and former champ Latrell Oscar, with a mammoth weekly score of 99 points, making him this week’s Highest Scorer by some way and the fourth-highest score this season. Doing the business were captain B.Fernandes (20) Palmer (20) Bruno Guimaraes (11) Haaland (11) Rogers (10) Raya (7) Saliba (7) Gabriel (6), and O.Brien (3).
My middle son, Jahsiah Tobierrie, moves down to ninth despite his bench boost 61 point week. His main contributions came from captain Rice (10) Haaland (11) Rogers (10) Gabriel (6) Thiago (5) Chalobah (4), and a combined seven points off the bench from Roden, Semenyo and Dubravka (1). Moving down but holding onto a top ten spot is two-time champ Jeff Franklin, following a very decent weekly score of 83 points, with captain B.Fernandes (20) Haaland (11) Rogers (10) Mbeumo (8) Richards (8) Calvert-Lewin (8) Timber (6) Rice (5), and Thiago (5).
This week’s Highest Mover was Nordin Gharib, who moves up four places from 20th to 16th, thanks to his very decent 83 point week. Doing the business were captain Mbeumo (16) Haaland (11) Summerville (11) B.Fernandes (10) Joao Pedro (8) Raya (7) Gabriel (6) Thiago (5) Chalobah (4), and Casemiro (3).
Full steam ahead to week 26, the first double game week of the season, but only for two teams. Make it count y’all.
