SEASON TWELVE

WEEK 27

This week in the Premier League. Arsenal destroyed Spurs 4-1 away in the North London derby. Man Utd got a late 1-0 win at Everton. Man City defeated Newcastle 2-1 at home.

Liverpool scored in the 97th minute at Forest, after a goal in the 90th minute was disallowed for a vital 1-0 win. Brighton got a much-needed 2-0 win at Brentford. Fulham got a credible 3-1 win at Sunderland. Crystal Palace beat Wolves 1-0 at home.

Burnley got a very late equaliser at 10-man Chelsea to draw 1-1. Aston Villa scored late to get a 1-1 home draw with Leeds, and West Ham drew 0-0 at home with Bournemouth.

In the ITYFL, it was a very low-scoring week, which will only benefit the league leader, coach Simz Simeon Edwards. He had a modest 39 point weekly score, mainly due to captain B.Fernandes (4) Joao Pedro (7) Haaland (6) Mbeumo (6) Rice (4), and Semenyo (4).

My long-time bredrin Francis Norville is not letting up on this title challenge and has gained a few points back due to his decent weekly score of 40 points. With captain Palmer (6) Abraham (7) Joao Pedro (7) Haaland (6) Mbeumo (6) Rice (4) Semenyo (4), and Martinez (3). But could have done without leaving Wilson (8) on the bench.

Still within touching distance in third is my old football club mate Darren Michael, who scored a decent 45 point week, following captain Haaland (12) Joao Pedro (7) Mbeumo (6) Rice (4) Semenyo (4), and Raya (3). But another who will be upset at leaving Wilson (8) on the bench.

Just about still in the title race in fourth is former champ (ahem) Charles Denton, with a weekly score of 42 points and contributions from captain Semenyo (8) Joao Pedro (7) Mbeumo (6) Senesi (5), and Rice (4). But yet another with Wilson (8) on the bench.

Tommy Lee moves up to fifth, following a 40 point week, with captain Bowen (8) Joao Pedro (7) Mbeumo (6) Rice (4) Summerville (3), and Timber (3). This sees my oldest son, under his alias Tommy Devito, in joint fifth due to a modest weekly score of 38 points. His main contributions were from captain Haaland (12) Wilson (8), and Semenyo (4).

Just five points behind, Owen Barnes moves down to seventh, due to a disappointing 33 point weekly score, following captain Haaland (12) Rice (4), and Timber (3). My middle son Jahsiah Tobierre stays in eighth, despite his disappointing 32 point week, with captain Thiago (4) Haaland (6) Bowen (4) Rice (4) and Semenyo (4).

This week’s Highest Mover is Hayes and Yeading’s sporting director and my oldest mate, Delroy Preddie, who stormed up five places from 14th to 9th, after, given the circumstances, an amazing 89 point week, making him this week’s Highest Scorer for a second week in a row. Doing the business were captain captain Haaland (12) O’Reilly (17) Eze (14) Virgil (11) Van Hacke (9) Alisson (7) Joao Pedro (7) Rice (4), and Semenyo (4).

Two-time champ Jeff Franklin stays in the top ten via just a solitary point, following his weekly score of 45. points, due to captain Thiago (4) Haaland (6) Hill (6) Mbeumo (6) Richards (6) Anderson (4) Rice (4), and Timber (3).
