I TELL YAH INVITATIONAL LEAGUE
SEASON TWELVE
WEEK 28
This week in the Premier League. Arsenal got the better of their London rivals Chelsea yet again this season, with a 2-1 home win to maintain a five-point lead at the top. Man City sneaked past Leeds 1-0 away to keep the pressure on. Brentford got a thrilling and controversial 4-3 win at Burnley.
Man Utd got a huge slice of luck as they came from a goal down to beat Crystal Palace 2-1 at home. Liverpool were rampant as they beat West Ham 5-2 at home. Wolves shocked Aston Villa with a 2-0 home win. Everton surprised Newcastle with a 3-2 away win.
Fulham put more pressure on a struggling Tottenham with a 2-1 home win. Forest also remains under pressure after a 2-1 defeat at Brighton, and Sunderland drew 1-1 at Bournemouth.
In the ITYFL, Coach Simz, Simeon Edwards remains in pole position at the top and can now, well, just maybe, have thoughts about a title, but will also start to look over his shoulder. He had a decent 73 point weekly score, with captain B.Fernandes (26) Ekitike (15) Gabriel (9) Semenyo (8) Guehi (6), and Rice (5).
My old football club mate Darren Michael has moved up to second and cut the lead at the top to twenty, thanks to his excellent 90 point week, making him this week’s Highest Scorer. Doing the business were vice captain Ekitike (30) Wilson (12) Gabriel (9) Semenyo (8) Virgil (7) Dewsbury-Hall (6) O’Reilly (6) Rice (5), and Raya (3).
This sees my long-time bredrin, Francis Norvile, move down to third, losing a bit of ground following his 60 point weekly score. His contributions came from captain Wilson (24) Gabriel (9) Semenyo (8) O’Reilly (6), and Rice (5).
Former champ (ahem) Charles Denton stays in fourth due to a decent 75 point weekly score, with captain Semenyo (16) Ekitike (15) Wilson (12) Gabriel (9) O’Reilly (6), Rice (5) and Senesi (4).
Moving back up and back into Champions League contention in fifth is my oldest son, under his alias Tommy Devito, following his very decent 81 point week. Thanks to vice captain Gabriel (18) Ekitike (15) B.Fernandes (13) Semenyo (8) Thiago (6), and Tarkowski (3). This sees Tommy Lee move down to sixth, due to a 64 point weekly score and main contributions from captain Bowen (14) Gabriel (9) Gibbs-White (9) Timber (6) Guehi (6) Thiago (6), and Rice (5).
Owen Barnes remains in seventh place, with a weekly score of 64 points, following vice captain Rogers (4) B.Fernandes (13) Gabriel (9) Timber (8) Garner (6) Guehi (6) Thiago (6), and Rice (5). February’s manager of the month,, Hayes and Yeading sporting director, Delroy Preddie, continues his recent good form as he moves up eighth, due to a weekly score of 64 points and contributions from vice captain Alisson (4) Ekitike (15) Saliba (10) Virgil (7) Semenyo (8) O’Reilly (6) Rice (5), and Van Hecke (4).
This sees my middle son, Jahsiah Tobierre, move down to ninth, just seven points behind, following a 51 point week, with captain Thiago (12) Gabriel (9) Semenyo (8) Bowen (7), and Rice (5). Moving back up into the top ten, just two points behind his brother, is former champ and my youngest son, Latrell Oscar, thanks to a decent 78 point week. Due to captain Thiago (12) Ekitike (15) B.Fernandes (12) Saliba (10) Gabriel (9) Alderete (4) Ballard (4) Ndiaye (4), and Raya (3).
This week’s Highest Mover was Timothy Stigwood, who moved up two places from 18th to 16th thanks to a weekly score of 64 points and main contributions from vice captain Thiago (12) B.Fernandes (13) Saliba (10) Semenyo (8) Timber (8), and Senesi (4).
