Fantasy Football S12 WEEK 29 Round Up

I TELL YAH INVITATIONAL LEAGUE

SEASON TWELVE

WEEK 29

This midweek in the Premier League. Wolves shocked Liverpool with a stoppage-time goal to win 2-1 at home. Arsenal stretched their lead at the top with a fortunate 1-0 away win at Brighton. This is because Man City gave up a lead twice to draw 2-2 at home with relegation-fighting Notts Forest.

Chelsea strengthened their Champions League hopes while weakening Aston Villa’s with a crushing 4-1 away win. 10-man Newcastle surprised a resurgent Man Utd with a 2-1 home win. Crystal Palace sent Spurs further into disarray with a 3-1 away win.

West Ham got a much-needed 1-0 win at Fulham in their fight to stay in the league. Sunderland edged past Leeds 1-0 away. Everton eased past Burnley 2-0 at home, and Brentford drew 0-0 at Bournemouth.

In the IFYFL, coach Simz, Simeon Edwards, remains on top; however, he will be sitting a little uneasy compared to where he was a few weeks ago. He scored a decent 65 point weekly score due to captain B.Fernandes (16) Joao Pedro (19) Gabriel (11) Semenyo (7), and Kelleher (9), but lost three points with Van de Ven.

Cutting the lead to just eleven points is my old football club mate, and I am sure a very happy Arsenal fan, Darren Micheal. He notched a very decent weekly score of 78 points, with captain Haaland (4) Joao Pedro (19) Gabriel (11) Dewsbury-Hall (9) B.Fernandes (8) Hill (8) Raya (7), and Semenyo (7).

Staying within touching distance in third is my long-time bredrin Francis Norville, following his 67 point week. His contributions came from captain Semenyo (14) Joao Pedro (19) Gabriel (11) Palmer (9) Thiaw (4), and Rice (3).

Former champ, (ahem) Charles Denton, stays in a Champions League place in fourth following a decent weekly score of 61 points. With captain Semenyo (14) Tarkowski (15) Gabriel (11) Pickford (6), and Szoboszlai (5).

Moving up to fifth is Tommy Lee,  thanks to a superb 82 point weekly score. Due to captain Bowen (8) Joao Pedro (19) Timber (13) Gabriel (11) Summerville (11) Semenyo (7), and Pickford (6). However, it could have been even better had he not left a combined 25. points on the bench in Senesi (11) Gibbs-White (8), and Collins (6). This sees my oldest son, under his alias Tommy Devito, down to sixth, just two points behind, following his 63 point week, with captain Haaland (4) Tarkowski (15) Gabriel (11) B.Fernandes (8) Semenyo (7) Pickford (6), and Enzo (5).

Owen Barnes remains in seventh place. He scored a decent weekly score of 61 points and main contributions from captain Haaland (4) Timber (13) Gabriel (11) Garner (10) B.Fernandes (8) Pickford (6), and Rice (3). This week’s joint Highest Mover was my youngest son and former champ Latrell Oscar, who moved up two places from 10th to 8th, due to a decent 64 point week, following captain Ndiaye (12) Gabriel (11) Ballard (9) B.Fernandes (8) Alderete (7) Raya (7), and Stach (4).

This sees Hayes and Yeading Sporting Director, Delroy Preddie move down to joint ninth, with a modest weekly score of 45 points. Mainly due to captain Haaland (4) Joao Pedro (19) Semenyo (7) Eze (7) Henderson (3) and Rice (3). Moving down but also in joint ninth is my middle son Jahsiah Tobierre, with a modest weekly score of 52 points, following captain Thiago (4) Gabriel (11) B.Fernandes (8) Hill (8) Semenyo (7) Bowen (4), and Rice (3).  But could have done without leaving Summerville (11) on the bench.

This week’s Highest Scorer was my Old Skool mate Derick Fredericks, who scored a fantastic bench boost 99 point week. Doing the business were captain B.Fernendes (16) Dewsbury-Hall (9) Truffert (8) Raya (7) Semenyo (7) Stach (4) Rice (3), and from off the bench, Summerville (11) Alderete (7) Dubravka (2), and Haaland (2).

This week’s other joint Highest Mover was Nordin Gharib, who also moved up two places from 17th to 15th, thanks to his very decent weekly score of 72 points, with captain Semenyo (14) Joao Pedro (19) Gabriel (11) B.Fernandes (8) Raya (7), and Szoboszlai (5). But it could have been even better had he not left Summerville (11) on the bench.

There is no Fantasy this weekend due to the FA Cup, but it will resume next weekend, when we will officially be in the last quarter of the season. Make it count y’all.
