I TELL YAH INVITATIONAL LEAGUE
SEASON TWELVE
WEEK 32
This week in the Premier League. Bournemouth defeated Arsenal 2-1 at the Emirates to blow the title race wide open. Man City strolled past Chelsea 3-0 away. Leeds surprised Man Utd with a 2-1 away win. Spurs fell deeper into trouble with a 1-0 loss at Sunderland.
West. Ham climbed out of the relegation zone with a 4-0 home destruction over Wolves. Crystal Palace came from behind to beat Newcastle 2-1 at home. Liverpool got a much-needed 2-0 home win against Fulham.
Brighton eased past Burnley 2-0 away, Everton got a last-minute equaliser to draw 2-2 at Brentford, and Aston Villa drew 1-1 at Notts Forest.
In the ITYFL, after a three-week break, we are very much at the business end of the season. My old football club mate Darren Michael made it a happy return as he stretched his lead at the top to nine, following his very decent 61 point week. Due to captain B.Fernandes (8) Mukiele (14) O’Reilly (14) Dewsbury-Hall (9) Gabriel (4), and Gordon (3).
Coach Simz, Simeon Edwards, is still lurking in the slipstream in second, despite losing some ground with a weekly score of 55 points. Following captain B.Fernandes (8) Guehi (15) Nguhoma (11) Szoboszlai (5) Gabriel (4), and Bassey (3).
My long-time bredrin Francis Norville had a disastrous week, which put a dent in his title hopes, as he had a disappointing 27 point weekly score, with main contributions from only captain Fernandes (8) Gabriel (4), and Senesi (4).
Staying comfortably in fourth is former champ (ahem) Charles Denton, following a weekly score of 47 points, with captain Semenyo (4) Guehi (15) Szoboszlai (5) Van Hecke (5) Gabriel (4) Rice (4), and Tarkowski (3).
Up to fifth is Tommy Lee due to his decent 65 point week, thanks to captain Gordon (6) Guehi (15) Bowen (14) Thiago (13) Gabriel (4) Rice (4), and Collins (3). This sees my oldest son, under his alias Tommy Devito, move down to sixth following a modest 41 point weekly score, with captain B.Fernandes (8) Thiago (13) Gabriel (4) Senesi (4), and Tarkowski (3).
My middle son, Jahsiah Tobierrie, moves up to seventh, just four points behind his older brother, due to a decent weekly score of 59 points, following captain B.Fernandes (8) Bowen (14) Thiago (13) Rogers (5) Gabriel (4) Rice (4), and Hill (3). Making it a hat-trick of brothers, my youngest son, Latrell Oscar, moves up to eighth, just four and seven points respectively, behind his older brothers, with a decent 56 point week and contributions from captain Thiago (26) Alderete (8) B.Fernandes (4) Gabriel (4), and Kayode (4).
Moving down to ninth, but just a point behind, is Owen Barnes, following his 55 point weekly score, due to captain Haaland (4) Guehi (15) Thiago (13) Rogers (5) B.Fernandes (8) Gabriel (4) Rice (4), and Garner (3). My Old Skool mate Derick Fredericks solidified his top ten spot, thanks to a very decent weekly score of 64 points, with captain B.Fernandes (8) Guehi (15) Dewsbury-Hall (9) Virgil (9) Alderete (8) Rice (4), and Senesi (4).
This week’s surprise Highest Scorer by some margin was RMC Eremce, who had a mammoth 86 point week, to move off the bottom of the table. Doing the business was captain Thiago (26) Guehi (15) Mukiele (14) Roefs (11) Rogers (5) B.Fernandes (4), and Senesi (4).
This week’s Highest Mover was Sanjay Beecher, flying the flag for JA & USA. He moved up three places from 19th to 16th, due to an excellent weekly score of 69 points, thanks to captain Haaland (4) Guehi (15) O’Reilly (14) Virgil (9) Kroupi (6) Rogers (5) Szoboszlai (5) Anderson (4), and Van den Berg (3).
We are now on the home stretch, full steam ahead to week 33, a double game week for some teams. Make it count, y’all.
