Bio: Obiang is one of those rare gems that I get really excited about finding. Purchased him for £5m, he played 6 seasons then I sold him for £29m to Roma.
He is an extremely energetic midfielder who has exceptional ball control and touch and can pick out a pass from anywhere on the field.
An indication of a great team player, every season he finished in the top two for assists in my team and in the top five in the league. He seems to get about the field effortlessly and is always involved in creating goals and controlling the play.
He played for Spain’s under 21’s but opted to play for Equatorial Guinea where he scored on his debut and broke all sorts of national team records. He also won African footballer of the year once and was shortlisted on four occasions.
