Bio: Let me start off by saying, it took me a considerable amount of time, money and negotiations to prize him away from Monaco.
But in the end, it was fully worth it as he turned into a real superstar. He’s a superbly gifted footballer who I nicknamed the “assist king”.
He topped the assist league and won my team’s player of the season in his first two seasons. He he has great vision and no matter where he is on the pitch, can pick out a team-mate to create a goal scoring opportunity.
He has this unique style where he slows a player up, then burst into life and accelerates past players to then pick out a team-mate. Although he’s all left footed, he can play on both wings, though I usually deployed him in the center.
He will not get loads of goals but when he does score, it usually is some type of class finish. In the end he topped the assist league two further times and went on to captain my team.
In total, he was voted the team’s player of the season five times and the leagues player of the season once. he also topped the assist league in the Champions League once.
