Fantasy Football S8 WEEK 20 Round Up

I TELL YAH INVITATIONAL LEAGUE

SEASON EIGHT

WEEK 20

This week in the Premier League, Leicester surprised Liverpool on one days’ rest to beat them 1-0 at home. Man City got a 1-0 win at Brentford. West Ham brushed past Watford, 4-1 away. Crystal Palace comfortably beat Norwich 3-0 at home. Man Utd beat Burnley 3-1 at home. Brighton scored a last-minute equaliser to draw 1-1 at Chelsea and Southampton drew 1-1 at home to Tottenham.

In the ITYIFL, it could well be the most significant month in the title race as defending champion Danny Milton remained consistent and dominant, to claim the manager of the month award. He ended December strong with a superb 66 point weekly score, to again be this week’s Highest Scorer. Doing the business were captain Son (12) Bowen (14) Foden (11) Dennis (7) Cancelo (6) and Antonio (5).

Former champ, my youngest son Latrell Oscar has certainly not conceded defeat, but knows he has a big task ahead of him in 2022 to claw this back. He had a 39 point week with contributions from Cucurella (8) Dennis (7) Son (6) Guaita (6) Antonio (5). Jeff Franklin remains in third, with a disappointing weekly score of 28 points, this was due to Dennis (7) Guaita (6) Cancelo (6) and Antonio (6).

Washington DC’s Greg Cabana remains in the Champions League places just, following another disappointing 26 point weekly score. His only real contributions came from Soucek (9) Dias (6) and Guaita (6). It’s becoming a real domestic a battle for the last Champions League spot as Sanjay Beecher joins him in joint fourth, but fifth for the purpose of this, thanks to a 32 point week, with contributions from Son (6) Dias (6) and King (5).

This week’s Highest Mover was Lord Ramdham who continues his recent good form as he moved up four places from 10th to 6th, due to an excellent 65 point weekly score. This was thanks to captain De Bruyne (16) Edouard (14) Ronaldo (12) and Dennis (7). This sees Natalie Holder move down one to seventh, following her weekly score of 39 points, due to captain Cancelo (12) Dennis (7) and Laporte (6).

Also moving down one to eighth is Owen Barnes, following his disappointing 29 point week. His only real contributions came from Benrahma (8) Dennis (7) and Cancelo (6). My old work colleague Mr James remains in ninth, due to a 32 point weekly score, this was following contributions from De Bruyne (8) Dennis (7) Cancelo (6).

My coaching partner Francis Norville moves down, but just holds onto a top ten spot following his disappointing weekly score of 24 points. With again contributions only from Dennis (7) Son (6) and Cancelo (6).

Happy New year to one and all. We are only halfway through the season with week 21 starting on New Year’s Day. So, here’s to hopefully a Covid free 2022 fantasy league and lastly, make it count y’all.
