Fantasy Football S8 WEEK 30 Round Up

I TELL YAH INVITATIONAL LEAGUE

SEASON EIGHT

WEEK 30

This, in a very short Premier League week. Arsenal got a very impressive away win at Aston Villa 1-0. Leeds came from two goals down to beat Wolves away 3-2, after Wolves had a man sent off. Tottenham beat West Ham 3-1 at home and Leicester beat Brentford 2-1 at home.

Naturally, with just four Premier League games, it wasn’t a big scoring week. However, a few managers will be cursing Jimenez after his red card, while others really took advantage and had a surprisingly good week. But the defending champion Danny Milton was not one of them, however he is still sitting pretty at the top with a sizeable lead. He scored a very modest 38 point weekly score with contributions mainly from captain Kane (26) and Barnes (5).

My old work colleague Mr James makes up a little ground in second, thanks to his 56 point week. This was due to captain Kane (26) Saka (11) and Barnes (5). Sanjay Beecher remains in third, following a weekly score of 47 points. This was mainly due to captain Kane (26) and Saka (11).

After a few disappointing weekly scores, my youngest son and former champ Latrell Oscar took full advantage of the low scoring week. He moved up three places from 7th to 4th, which made him this week’s joint Highest Mover. This was thanks to a very decent, free hit 72 point weekly score, also making him this week’s Highest Scorer. Doing the business were captain Son (30) Kane (13) Benrahma (8) White (7) Tierney (6) and Barnes (5). Also moving up, into fifth, continuing his impressive recent surge in form to claim back to back manager of the months, is my old football club mate Darren Ahmet. This was due to a decent, free hit 68 point week, with contributions from captain Kane (26) Son (15) Saka (11) and Gabriel (8).

Moving down to sixth, with a somewhat disappointing weekly score of 29 points, is Washington DC’s Greg Cabana. His only real contributions coming from Saka (11) and Maddison (10). Also moving down, to seventh, is former champ Jeff Franklin, following his 44 point weekly score. This was mainly due to captain Kane (26) Saka (11) and Jonny (7).

Natalie Holder remains in eighth, losing a little ground on the managers above, following her disappointing 24 point week. Where only Saka (11) and Gabriel (8) recorded any significant points. Just one point below in ninth, following his 46 point weekly score is Nordin Gharib, mainly due to vice-captain Kane (26) and Saka (11).

Making up the top ten is Lee Barrett, despite his disappointing weekly score of 26 points, where his only real contributions came from captain Toney (4) Saka (11) and White (7). This week’s other joint Highest Mover was Yours Truly. I scored a decent 58 point weekly score, to move me up three places from 16th to 13th, thanks to captain Maddison (20) Kane (13) Saka (11) and Tierney (6).

Sadly, fantasy takes a break for a week due to the international matches. So I’ll see y’all in two weeks time.
