Fantasy Football S9 WEEK 22 Round Up

I TELL YAH INVITATIONAL LEAGUE

SEASON NINE

WEEK 22

This week in the Premier League. Leicester destroyed Spurs 4-1 at home. Wolves came from a goal down, then a man down, to beat Southampton 2-1 away, a result which cost Nahtan Jones his job. Liverpool got back on track with a 2-0 home against Everton in the Merseyside derby. Man City beat Aston Villa 3-1 at home. Fulham beat Notts Forest 2-0 at home. Man Utd beat Leeds 2-0 away. Brentford got a controversial late equaliser to draw 1-1 at Arsenal. Chelsea was robbed of a late penalty as they drew 1-1 at West Ham. Brighton was robbed of a goal as they drew 1-1 at Palace. Bournemouth got a 1-1 home draw against Newcastle. And in midweek Man City beat Arsenal 3-1 away to go top.

In the ITYIFL. Just when she showed a chink in her armour to give the chasing pack some hope. League leader Natalie Stigwood responded emphatically with a superb 105 point weekly score to make her this week’s Highest Scorer. Doing the business was triple captain Haaland (30) De Bruyne (15) Saka (15) Shaw (12) Rashford (8) and Nketiah (6).

However, she is still looking over her should as the double champ Danny Milton has moved up into second place and has a treble firmly in his sights. He scored a decent 84 point week, thanks to captain Haaland (20) Saka (15) Gundogan (12) Shaw (12) Rashford (8) and Nketiah (6). This sees my recent former work colleague Abdul Rahman move down to third following his weekly score of 71 points due to captain Haaland (20) Saka (15) Almiron (10) and Rashford (8).

Making up the Champions League places in fourth is Washington DC’s Greg Cabana, with a very decent 90 point weekly score. Following contributions from triple captain Haaland (30) Saka (15) Shaw (12) Salah (11) and Rashford (8). In joint fourth, but fifth for the purpose of this is Yours Truly. I can be happy with my very decent 91 point week, thanks mainly to triple captain Saka (45) Mahrez (14) Haaland (10) and Rashford (8).

Just six points behind in sixth is Philippines native Jean Ninal, who continues to impress in her debut season. She had a decent 90 point weekly score, thanks to the likes of captain Haaland (20) De Bruyne (15) Grealish (13) Shaw (12) Rashford (8) and Raya (6). Moving down to seventh, is former champ, Jeff Franklin, following his weekly score of 65 points. His contributions came from captain Haaland (20) Shaw (12) Rashford (8) Darwin (5) and Martinelli (5).

Remaining in eighth place is Sanjay Beecher, with a weekly score of 79 points. This was due to captain Haaland (20) Mahrez (14) Almiron (10) Rashford (8) Estupinan (7) and Nketiah (6). My old football clubmate Darren Ahmet remains in ninth, following his 75 point week. His contributions came from captain Haaland (20) De Bruyne (15) Almiron (10) Rashford (8) and Nketiah (6).

Moving up into the top ten is Timothy Stigwood, thanks to his 79 point weekly score. This was mainly due to the likes of triple captain Haaland (30) Saka (15) Rashford (8) Andreas (6) and Martinelli (5). This week’s triple Highest Movers was first my oldest son under his alias Tommy Devito. He moved up two places from 16th to 14th due to a very decent 94 point week, thanks to captain Haaland (20) De Bruyne (15) Saka (15) Almiron (10) Toney (9) Rashford (8) and Raya (6).

Secondly, former champ ahem Charles Denton also moved up two places from 17th to 15th, thanks to his decent weekly score of 82 points. Due to captain Haaland (20) De Bruyne (15) Saka (15) Almiron (10) and Rashford (8). But he’ll be upset at leaving a combined 17 points on the bench. Lastly, my old skool mate Derick Fredericks also moved up two places from 25th to 23rd, following his 74 point weekly score. His contributions came from captain Haaland (20) De Bruyne (15) Almiron (10) Rashford (8) and Raya (6).

Full steam ahead to week 23, make it count y’all.
