WEEK 22
This week in the Premier League. Man Utd defeated Spurs at Wembley 1-0, with a little help from their keeper De Gea. West Ham defeated Arsenal at home 1-0, with a little help from a 19 year old. Burnley had no shots on goal but still beat Fulham 2-1 at home. Southampton went down to 10 men in the first half, but still manage to beat Leicester 2-1 away. Man City comfortably beat Wolves 3-0 at home. Watford defeated Palace 2-1 away. Liverpool beat Brighton 1-0 away thanks to a Salah penalty. Everton beat Bournemouth 2-0 at home. Chelsea beat Newcastle 2-1 at home. With Cardiff and Huddersfield inevitably playing out a 0-0 draw.
In the ITYIFL. Mr James remains on top and extended his lead slightly to 24 points. This was due to a very decent weekly score of 69 points thanks to the likes of captain Salah (22) Digne (12) Rashford (7) Alexander-Arnold (6) Hazard (5) and Pogba (5).
Halifa S S remains in second leading the chasing pack. This was also thanks to a very decent weekly score of 65 points following a wildcard week. With contributions from captain Salah (22) Digne (12) Rashford (7) Alexander-Arnold (6) and Hazard (5). Ahm Charles Denton moves back up into third place following a weekly score of 62 points. Due to points from captain Salah (22) Rashford (7) Sterling (6) Laporte (6) Alexander-Arnold (6) and Alisson (6).
This means newcomer Simon Sebhat moves down one into fourth place, due to a disappointing weekly score of 45 points. Where his only real contributions came from captain Hazard (10) Robertson (9) Van Dijk (7) and Ederson (6). (I call him Bryan Robson) Ibrahim Gullu remains in fifth, despite a disappointing weekly score of 43 points. With only Schurrle (9) Holebas (7) and Ederson (6) providing any decent points.
Also remaining in sixth. But on the same points as fifth due to a decent weekly score of 61 is Tommy Warner. Thanks to the likes of captain Salah (22) Robertson (9) Fabianski (9) and Van Dijk (7). Last season’s runner up Greg C also remains in seventh, due to a weekly score of 50 points. This was thanks to contributions from captain Hazard (10) Salah (11) Robertson (9) and David Luiz (8).
Moving up into eighth place, from 15th, making him this weeks Highest Mover, thanks to a weekly score of 79 points. Which also makes him this weeks Highest Scorer is Lee Barratt. This was due to captain Hazard (10) Digne (12) Salah (11) Sane (8) David Luiz (8) Rashford (7) Laporte (6) Lossl (6) and Pogba (5). Also moving up into ninth place is Kool FM’s Pressure X with a very decent 69 point week. Thanks to the likes of captain Salah (22) Etheridge (10) Robertson (9) Rashford (7) Van Dijk (7) and Pogba (5).
Making up the top ten is another newcomer Sanjay Beecher, with another very decent weekly score of 68 points. Due to captain Salah (22) Digne (12) Fabianski (9) Alexander-Arnold (6) and Pogba (5).
