I TELL YAH INVITATIONAL LEAGUE
SEASON SIX
WEEK 31
This, in the second week since the lockdown in the Premier League. Liverpool was near perfect as they strolled past Crystal Palace 4-0 at home. Due to Chelsea beating Man City at home the next day 2-1, Liverpool became the new Premier League Champions after a 30 year wait. Man Utd strolled past Sheff Utd 3-0 at home. Arsenal got back to winning ways by beating Southampton away 2-0. Tottenham eased past West Ham 2-0 at home. Everton beat Watford 1-0 away. Burnley beat Watford 1-0 at home. Wolves beat Bournemouth at home by the same score and Villa got a late equaliser to draw 1-1 at Newcastle.
In the ITYIFL, Mr Ever-Present Jeff Franklin has snatched back the top spot due to an intelligent free hit week, with a superb weekly score of 103 points, putting him 11th in the all time list, with fourth highest score this season. Doing the business was captain Martial (42) Alexander-Arnold (14) Salah (11) Jimenez (9) De Bruyne (8) Martinez (8) and Doherty (6).
Moving down into second is Danny Milton who saw a massive 54 point lead from last week, overturned into a 10 point deficit, due to a very disappointing 43 point week. His only real contributions came from captain Fernandes (6) Jimenez (9) De Bruyne (8) and Doherty (6). Moving up into third with a decent 75 point week is last season’s runner up Mr James, thanks to the likes of captain Kane (10) Alexander-Arnold (14) Salah (11) Jimenez (9) De Bruyne (8) Mahrez (6) Doherty (6) and Patricio (6).
Timothy Stigwood moved down into fourth with a weekly score of 57 points. His contributions came from captain De Bruyne (16) Alexander-Arnold (14) Jimenez (9) and Patricio (6). My oldest mate Delroy Preddie remains in sixth, closing the gap slightly thanks to 68 point week. This was due to captain De Bruyne (16) Alexander-Arnold (14) Digne (11) Jimenez (9) and Coady (6). Washington DC’s Greg C remains in seventh, also closing the gap slightly with a decent 71 point week. This was thanks to captain Mane (18) Alexander-Arnold (14) Wan-Bissaka (11) Van Dijk (9) and De Bruyne (8).
Natalie Stigwood remains in eighth thanks to a weekly score of 65 points, where her contributions came from captain De Bruyne (16) Pope (10) Rashford (9) Son (6) Gomez (6) and Evens (6). Owen Barnes moved up into ninth place with a very decent 83 point week. This was thanks to captain Salah (22) Alexander-Arnold (14) Pope (10) Jimenez (9) Van Dijk (9) De Bruyne (8) and Mahrez (6).
Making up the top ten is Halifa S S with a decent 74 point week, due to contributions from Martial (21) Alexander-Arnold (14) Salah (11) Wan-Bissaka (11) and Troare (6). This weeks Highest Scorer was my youngest nephew Tahj Miles with a superb weekly score of 106 points, putting him joint sixth on the all time list and third highest score this season. Doing the business were mainly captain Salah (22) Martial (21) Keane (15) Alexander-Arnold (14) and Wan-Bissaaka (11).
This weeks Highest Mover was Filipino native Lyn Bautista who move up four places from 28th to 23rd, due to a very decent weekly score of 82 points. This was thanks to the likes of captain Salah (22) Alexander-Arnold (14) Wan-Bissaka (11) Pope (10) Jimenez (9) and De Bruyne (8).
We are now back in the full swing of things. Although week 32 will be stretched over six days due to the FA Cup matches over the weekend. Don’t miss the cut off point like me again, lots still to play for and the ITYIFL title race is certainly hotting up. Make it count ya’ll,
All that’s left to say is congratulations to the new Premier League champions Liverpool FC.
