I TELL YAH INVITATIONAL LEAGUE
SEASON SEVEN
WEEK 6
This week in a relatively low scoring Premier League, Leeds ended the last 100% record in the league by brushing Aston Villa aside 3-0 at Villa Park. Southampton beat top of the table Everton 2-0 at home. Leicester did an old fashioned smash and grab job to beat Arsenal 1-0 away. Liverpool beat Sheff Utd 2-1 at home. Crystal Palace beat Fulham 2-1 away. Tottenham left it late to beat Burnley 1-0 away. West Brom left it late to get a 1-1 draw at Brighton. Newcastle left it even later to get a 1-1 draw at Wolves. West Ham got a decent 1-1 draw at home to Man City, also Man Utd and Chelsea played out the second 0-0 draw of the season, in what could well be the worst game of the season so far.
In the ITYIFL, we have yet another new league leader. Lee Barratt moved to the ITYIFL summit by just two points, thanks to, given the circumstances, an excellent 62 point week. Doing the business were captain Kane (10) Bamford (17) Zaha (13) and Schmeichel (10).
Perennial top ten man Danny Milton remains in second, following a 56 point weekly score. This was thanks mainly to captain Kane (10) Bamford (17) Son (11) and Saiss (7). This sees my Arsenal mate Mr James move down into third, due to a weekly score of 41 points, with contributions only really from Son (11) Justin (6) and Kane (5).
Defending champion Jeff Franklin remains in a Champions League place, following a 46 point week, due to contributions from Son (11) Ings (10) Wilson (5) and Walker-Peters (5). My oldest nephew Tyrell Miles-Brown storms up into fifth, with an excellent 61 point week. He can thank the likes of captain Son (22) Zaha (13) Ings (10) and McCarthy (6).
Former champ, ahm Charles Denton also moves up, into sixth, with a decent wildcard weekly score of 51 points. This was due to Bamford (17) Jimenez (9) Kane (5) and Klich (5). My youngest son and another former champ Latrell Oscar moves down into seventh, following a very disappointing weekly score of 36 points, where his only contributions came from captain Sterling (4) Zaha (13) Wilson (5) and Kane (5).
Natalie Holder makes her return to the top ten, as she moves up into eighth, with a very decent weekly score of 58 points. This was thanks to the likes of captain Kane (10) Bamford (17) Saiss (7) Costa (6) and Justin (6). This weeks joint Highest Scorer is Sanjay Beecher, whose superb 67 point week moves him up into ninth place, which also made him this weeks Highest Mover, as he moved up eight places from 17th. Doing the business were captain Son (22) Jimenez (9) Mane (8) Saiss (7) Wilson (5) and Kane (5).
My oldest mate Delroy Preddie (good away win, getting Hayes & Yeading into the first round of the FA Cup) just sneaks into the top ten via one point, due to a 42 point week. He can thank contributions from captain Lallana (6) Ings (10) Jimenez (9) and Wilson (5). This weeks other joint Highest Scorer with a superb 67 points was Simon Sebhat with thanks mainly to the likes of captan Son (22) Zaha (13) Ings (10) and James (8).
Full steam ahead to week 7, exciting times and hopefully less dodgy VAR calls ahead y’all…..
