I TELL YAH INVITATIONAL LEAGUE
SEASON SEVEN
WEEK 8
This week in the Premier League, Aston Villa brushed Arsenal aside 3-0 away. Man Utd came from behind to beat Everton 3-1 away. Chelsea destroyed Sheff Utd 4-1 at home. Crystal Palace surprisingly scored four to destroy unlucky Leeds at home by the same score. Southampton beat Newcastle 2-0 at home. Spurs left it late to beat West Brom 1-0 away. West Ham left it even later to beat Fulham at home thanks to a horrendous last second missed penalty. Leicester beat Wolves 1-0 at home thanks to a dubious pen. Liverpool drew at Man City 1-1 thanks to a missed penalty and Brighton drew 0-0 at home with Burnley.
In the ITYIFL, Lee Barratt remains on top for a third week in a row and is now starting to exert some dominance with a superb 80 point week. This stretches his lead at the top to 15 points. Doing the business was captain Kane (18) Fernandes (17) Salah (9) Bamford (7) Grealish (6) Justin (6) Schmeichel (6) and Calvert-Lewin (5).
My obviously disappointed Arsenal mate Mr James remains in second following a decent weekly score of 74 points. He can thank the likes of captain Son (6) Fernandes (17) Salah (9) Kane (9) Grealish (6) Justin (6) Lamptey (6) Martinez (6) and Calvert-Lewin (5). Perennial top ten man Danny Milton remains in third following a decent weekly score of 73 points, thanks to captain Kane (18) Fernandes (17) Chilwell (8) Bamford (7) Martinez (6) and Zaha (5).
Defending champ Jeff Franklin remains in a Champions League place and closes the distances to third by a mere 2 points, thanks to a superb 81 point week. His contributions came from captain Son (6) Fernandes (17) Targett (11) Salah (9) Walker-Peters (9) Werner (7) Barkley (7) McCarthy (6) and Calvert-Lewin (5). Natalie Holder moves up to fifth and is this weeks Highest Scorer with an excellent bench boost weekly score of 82 points. This was thanks to captain Kane (18) Salah (9) Bamford (7) Grealish (6) Justin (6) Martinez (6) Calvert-Lewin (5) also off the bench Pope (9) and Zaha (5).
Washington DC’s Greg C storms up seven places into sixth, making him this weeks Highest Mover. This was following a superb weekly score of 80 points. His contributions came from captain Kane (18) Watkins (13) Salah (9) Walker-Peters (9) Reguilon (6) Lamptey (6) Ryan (6) and Rashford (5). Also flying the flag for the ladies, Natalie Stigwood moves up to seventh, following a decent 68 point week. Thanks to captan Werner (14) Fernandes (17) Kane (9) Salah (9) Grealish (6) and Justin (6).
This sees former champ ahm Charles Denton move down into eighth, due to a weekly score of 56 points, where his main contributions came from captain Kane (18) Salah (9) Bamford (7) Vestergaard (6) and McCarthy (6). This also sees my oldest mate Delroy Preddie (unlucky at going out to Carlisle on pens in the FA Cup, seconds away from an upset) move down into ninth, with a weekly score of 50 points. This was due to captain De Bruyne (6) Patricio (10) Bamford (7) Grealish (6) Creswell (6) and Calvert-Lewin (5).
Moving down into joint tenth is my oldest nephew Tyrell Miles-Brown, with a disappointing weekly score of 44 points. His contributions came from captain Son (6) Kane (9) Werner (7) McCarthy (6) Zaha (5) and Calvert-Lewin (5). Also moving down into joint tenth, is Simon Sebhat following a 55 point week, with contributions from captain Son (6) Fernandez (17) Werner (7) Grealish (6) Zaha (5) and Calvert-Lewin (5).
Unfortunately its another international break, although some of us need it to regroup and reevaluate our failing teams ….. So see y’all in two weeks.
