I TELL YAH INVITATIONAL LEAGUE
SEASON SEVEN
WEEK 15
This week in the Premier League, Arsenal got their first league win since early November to beat Chelsea 3-1 at home. 10 man Aston Villa beat a struggling Crystal Palace 3-0 at home. Man City beat Newcastle 2-0 at home. Everton got a late goal to beat Sheff Utd 1-0 away. Leeds needed a penalty to beat Burnley 1-0 at home. Leicester came back twice to draw 2-2 at home to Man Utd. West Ham also came back twice to draw 2-2 at home to Brighton. WBA got a late equaliser to draw 1-1 at Liverpool. Wolves got an even later goal to draw 1-1 at home to Spurs, while Fulham played out a 0-0 draw with Southampton at Craven Cottage.
In the ITYIFL, we have yet another new league leader as Perennial top ten man Danny Milton storms into pole position, with a superb weekly score of 63 points. Doing the business were Fernandes (12) Martinez (10) Walker-Peters (8) Bamford (8) Matip (7) and Vardy (5).
This sees Lee Barratt move down one, but only two points behind, following a 54 point week. His contributions came from Fernandes (12) Bednarek (9) Bamford (8) Dallas (6) and McCarthy (6). Defending champion Jeff Franklin remains in third, with a weekly score of 58 points. This was thanks to Fernandes (12) Walker-Peters (8) Bamford (8) Rashford (7) Targett (6) and McCarthy (6).
Making up the Champions League places in fourth and flying the flag for the ladies is Natalie Holder, with a 50 point weekly score. This was mainly due to Fernendes (12) Martinez (10) Bamford (8) and Rashford (7). My happy Arsenal mate for a change Mr James, remains in fifth, with a weekly score of 45 points. His only real contributions came from Fernandes (12) Targett (6) Stones (6) and McCarthy (6).
Owen Barnes continues his recent good form as he moves up to sixth place, with a decent 59 point week. This was thanks mainly to captain Fernandes (24) Martinez (10) Bamford (8) and Neto (6). Washington DC’s Greg C also moves up, to seventh, despite a relatively modest weekly score of 48 points. His contributions came from Fernandes (12) Bednarek (9) Walker-Peters (8) and McCarthy (6).
Another who has moved up despite a relatively modest weekly score is Simon Sebhat, as his 45 point week moves him up to eighth place. This was due to Fernandes (12) Bamford (8) Cancelo (7) and Vardy (5). My middle son Jahsiah Tobierrie moves back up into the top ten in ninth, with a weekly score of 49 points, thanks to captain Son (6) Fernandes (12) Johnson (7) Neto (6) and Dias (6).
These relatively modest score table climbers were all due to Tommy Warner. He remains in the top ten, but moved down due to an extremely poor weekly score of 27 points, where only Neto (6) and Cresswell (4) provided any significant points. In stark contrast, this weeks Highest Scorer was Natalie Stigwood, with given the circumstances, a superb 71 point week. This also made her this weeks joint Highest Mover, as she moved up three places from 17th to 14th, thanks mainly to triple captain Mane (27) Fernandes (12) Leno (8) and Walker-Peters (8).
This weeks other Joint Highest Mover was Nordin Gharib, whose 66 point week moved him up three places from 15th to 12th, thanks to the likes of Fernandes (12) Soucek (10) Bednarek (9) Walker-Peters (8) Rashford (7) Alioski (6) and Vardy (5).
As with the bumper Christmas fixtures, it’s an extremely quick turnaround, with the new game week starting today. So make it count y’all.
