WEEK 20

This week in the Premier League, Sheff Utd shocked one and all by beating Man Utd 2-1 at Old Trafford. Liverpool got their first league win & goals of 2021 by beating Tottenham 3-1 away. Man City destroyed West Brom 5-0 away. Burnley beat Aston Villa 3-2 at home. Arsenal beat Southampton 3-1 away. Leeds beat Newcastle 2-1 away. West Ham beat Crystal Palace 3-2 away. Everton drew 1-1 at home to Leicester. Tomas Tuchel’s first Chelsea game ended 0-0 at home to Wolves, also Brighton drew at home 0-0 with Fulham.

In the ITYIFL, after a record breaking last week, this was a much more mundane week of scoring however, Lee Barratt managed to remain on top, only just, thanks to a steady weekly score of 47 points. This was due to the likes of triple captain Fernandes (6) Sterling (11) Grealish (8) Stones (6) and Ederson (6).

Perennial top ten man Danny Milton is hot on his heels in second, thanks to a very decent weekly score of 61 points. Doing the business were captain Fernandes (4) Soucek (15) Gundogan (14) Sterling (11) Stones (6) and Cresswell (5). Defending champion Jeff Franklin remains in third, but will be disappointed with his 37 point week, that sees him lose ground on the two above. His contributions came from captain Fernandes (4) Sanchez (6) Wilson (5) Antonio (5) Chilwell (5) and Targett (4).

My Arsenal mate Mr James remains in the Champions League places in fourth, following a weekly score of 45 points. This was due to captain Fernandes (4) Saka (13) Stones (6) Antonio (5) Cresswell (5) and Targett (4). Natalie Holder is still flying the flag for the ladies in fifth, also with a weekly score of 45 points. This was thanks to contributions from captain Fernandes (4) Saka (13) Sterling (11) Stones (6) and Antonio (5).

One of this weeks three joint Highest Movers was former champ ahm Charles Denton, who moved up two places from eighth to sixth, due to a decent 58 point week. (despite having 15 point Soucek on the bench, doh) This was thanks to captain Fernandes (4) Gundogan (14) Saka (13) Stones (6) and Ederson (6). My middle son Jahsiah Tobierrie moves down one to seventh, with a weekly score of 41 points, his contributions came mainly from captain Fernandes (4) Cancelo (17) Stones (6) and Chilwell (5).

Tommy Warner moves up into eighth place following a decent 50 point week, due to captain Fernandes (4) Soucek (15) Grealish (8) Wilson (5) Chilwell (5) and Cresswell (5). The women are represented for a second time in the top ten as Natalie Stigwood moved up two places from 11th to 9th, making her one of this weeks joint Highest Movers. This was due to a very decent 64 point weekly score, thanks to captain Fernandes (4) Mane (15) Gundogan (14) Areola (10) Grealish (8) and Stones (6).

Washington DC’s Greg C just about remains in the top ten, following a decent 55 point weekly score. He can thank captain Fernandes (4) Soucek (15) Saka (13) Sterling (11) and Wilson (5). This weeks Highest Scorer was my oldest mate Delroy Preddie, with an excellent 74 point week, that moved him up two places from 17th to 15th, which also made him this weeks joint Highest Mover. Doing the business is captain Grealish (16) Alexander-Arnold (14) Tielemans (10) Patricio (9) Azpilicueta (7) Zaha (7) Cresswell (5).
