I TELL YAH INVITATIONAL LEAGUE
SEASON EIGHT
WEEK 3
This week in the Premier league, Man City destroyed 10 man Arsenal 5-0 at the Etihad. Man Utd broke the longest unbeaten away record in English football history, as they rode their luck to beat Wolves 1-0. Everton beat Brighton 2-0 away. Leicester beat Norwich 2-1 away. Spurs beat Watford 1-0 at home. Newcastle thought they got a late winner, but Southampton got an even later equaliser to draw 2-2 at St James’s Park. Crystal Palace came back twice to draw 2-2 at West Ham. Liverpool couldn’t break down 10 man Chelsea as they drew 1-1 at Anfield. Brentford drew 1-1 at Villa also, Burnley drew 1-1 at home to Leeds.
In the ITYIFL, we have a new league leader. Sanjay Beecher put everyone on notice and although it’s only via two points, he stormed to the top of the table with a superb 70 point weekly score. Thanks to the likes of captain Son (20) Antonio (11) Salah (10) Dier (7) and Shaw (6).
Down into second, but breathing down his neck, is the defending champion Danny Milton, with a wildcard weekly score of 61 points. His contributions came from captain Antonio (22) Son (10) Fornals (7) and Tanganga (6). Nordin Gharib remains in third with his superb score of 70 points. This was thanks to captain Antonio (22) Salah (10) Calvert-Lewin (9) Wilson (9) and Shaw (6).
Moving up into a Champions League place is my youngest son Latrell Oscar, thanks to a very decent 67 point weekly score. This was due to captain Son (20) Antonio (11) Salah (10) Wilson (9) and Cresswell (5). Also moving up, into fifth and just a point behind fourth, is my old club mate Darren Ahmet, thanks to his very decent wildcard weekly score of 67 points. With contributions from the likes of Antonio (11) Son (10) Calvert-Lewin (9) Greenwood (8) Grey (8) Dier (7) and Dias (6).
Former champ Jeff Franklin remains in sixth place, following his 62 point week. This was due to Salah (10) Wilson (9) Greenwood (8) Shaw (6) Digne (6) Toney (6) and Cresswell (5). Yours Truly has moved down a few places into seventh, I scored a 59 point weekly score, with contributions mainly from captain Son (20) Antonio (11) Dier (7) and Lowton (6).
Kool FM’s Pressure X is in joint seventh, on the same points as me, but remains in eighth for the purpose of this, thanks to a very decent weekly score of 67 points. This was thanks to the likes of captain Antonio (22) Salah (10) Wood (9) Greenwood (8) and Cresswell (5). Washington DC’s Greg Cabana moves up one place to ninth, with a very decent weekly score of 66 points. Thanks to captain Antonio (22) Salah (10) Dias (6) Digne (6) Shaw (6) and Pickford (6).
My old work mate (I’ll spare you the other name) Mr James, moves up into 10th from 16th, making him this weeks joint Highest mover, thanks to an excellent weekly score of 75 points, which also made him this weeks Highest Scorer. Doing the business were captain Son (20) Antonio (11) Buendia (10) Salah (10) Lowton (6) and Shaw (6). This weeks other joint Highest Mover was Natalie Stigwood, whose very decent 72 point week, moved her up six places from 20th to 14th. Thanks to captain Son (20) Vardy (12) Antonio (11) Calvert-Lewin (9) Dias (6) and Shaw (6).
Sadly, we will embark on the seasons first international break, so no fantasy next week. See y’all in two weeks time.
