I TELL YAH INVITATIONAL LEAGUE

SEASON EIGHT 

WEEK 5

This week in the Premier League, Chelsea mauled Spurs 3-0 in their own back yard. Man Utd needed a late goal and penalty save to beat the unfortunate West Ham 2-1 away. Liverpool eased past Crystal Palace 3-0 at home. Aston Villa had a ten minute blitz to beat Everton 3-0 at home. Brentford beat Wolves away 2-0, despite being reduced to 10 men. Brighton moved up to fourth after beating Leicester 2-1 at home. Watford confined Norwich to their fifth defeat in a row after beating them 3-1 away. Arsenal beat Burnley 1-0 away. Newcastle drew at home to Leeds 1-1 and Southampton got an unlikely 0-0 draw at Man City.

In the ITYFL, The reigning and defending champion Danny Milton remains in top spot, but he might be sitting a little uncomfortably, as his lead has been cut considerably to just six points, following a 46 point weekly score. His only real contributions came from captain Salah (24) Ronaldo (6) and Duffy (5).

Sanjay Beecher made significant strides in second, with an excellent 66 point week, to breathe down the neck of the champion. Thanks to the likes of captain Salah (26) Sarr (15) Raphinha (8) Ronaldo (6) Duffy (5) and Ings (5). My youngest son, Latrell Oscar, moves up into third, thanks to a very decent 61 point weekly score. This was due to captain Salah (24) Benrahma (10) Ronaldo (6) Dennis (6) and Livramento (5).

Making up into the Champions League places, is former champ Jeff Franklin, with a decent weekly score of 56 points. This was due to captain Salah (26) Raphinha (8) Ronaldo (6) and Tomiyasu (6). Storming up into fifth place is Natalie Stigwood, due to a very decent 69 point weekly score. Thanks to the likes of captain Ronaldo (12) Rudigar (14) Benrahma (10) Dias (8) Pinnock (8) and Alisson (7).

Also moving up, into sixth, is another former champ ahm Charles Denton, courtesy of a superb 73 point week, which made him this weeks Highest Scorer. Doing the business were captain Salah (24) Toney (12) Benrahma (10) Dias (8) Duffy (5) and Ings (5). Another who has moved up, into seventh, is Washington DC’s Greg Cabana, due to his decent 55 point weekly score. Thanks to captain Salah (24) Dias (8) Saka (5) Walker-Peters (5) and Tielemans (5).

All this resulted in a few moving down. Firstly, Mr James moved down into eighth place, following a 52 point weekly score. His contributions came from captain Salah (24) Ronaldo (6) Raya (6) and Duffy (5). Also, moving down into ninth, is Nordin Gharib with a weekly score of 47 points, where his only real contributions came from captain Salah (24) Bamford (5) and Duffy (5).

Moving up for a rare foray into the top ten is my older brother, Wayne Watson, due to a very decent 69 point weekly score. This was thanks to the likes of captain Mane (16) Toney (12) Van Dijk (12) and Dias (8). This weeks Highest Mover was Lord Ramdhan, who moved up a massive nine places from 22nd to 13th, thanks to a superb weekly score of 71 points. Doing the business were captain Salah (24) Odegaard (11) Alonso (10) Tomiyasu (6) Ronaldo (6) and Jansson (5).

The season is now in full swing, full steam ahead to week six, make it count y’all.
