I TELL YAH INVITATIONAL LEAGUE

SEASON EIGHT 

WEEK 9

This week in the Premier League, Liverpool destroyed their bitter rivals Man Utd 5-0 at Old Trafford. Chelsea destroyed Norwich 7-0 at home. Watford scored 4 goals in the last 12 minutes to come from 2-1 down, to beat Everton 5-2 away. West Ham got a late winner to beat Tottenham 1-0 at home. Man City comfortably beat Brighton 4-1 away. Leicester beat Brentford 2-1 away. Arsenal defeated Aston Villa at home 3-1. Southampton drew at home with Burnley 2-2. Crystal Palace was denied a late winner as they drew at home with Newcastle 1-1 and Leeds go an extremely late penalty to draw at home with Wolves 1-1.

In the ITYIFL, although it’s still early days, the defending champion Danny Milton seems unstoppable at present, as he stretches his lead at the top to 58 points, thanks to a superb 103 point weekly score. Doing the business were captain Chilwell (24) Salah (24) Livramento (9) Antonio (7) and Jimenez (5).

Sanjay Beecher moves back up into second place, following a decent 86 point week. This was thanks mainly to captain Salah (48) Alexander-Arnold (10) Hwang (8) and Antonio (7). My youngest son and former champ Latrell Oscar moves up into third, just two points behind second, due to an excellent weekly score of 97 points. Thanks to captain Foden (36) Salah (24) Livramento (9) Rudigar (9) and Antonio (7).

Moving down into fourth is Washington DC’s Greg Cabana, following his wildcard weekly score of 73 points. This was due to the likes of captain Jesus (10) Salah (24) Alexander-Arnold (10) Livramento (9) Antonio (7) and Wilson (5). Also moving down, into fifth, with a disappointing weekly score of 48 points, is another former champ Jeff Franklin. His contributions came mainly from Salah (24) Livramento (9) and Jimenez (5).

Moving up into sixth place is my right hand man Tyrone Brown, thanks to a very decent 85 point week. This was mainly due to the likes of captain Salah (48) James (13) and Martinez (10). Also moving up, into seventh, is my oldest mate, Hayes & Yeading coach Delroy Preddie, with a decent 73 point weekly score. Thanks to Salah (24) Chilwell (12) Alexander-Arnold (10) Martinez (10) and Grey (5).

This sees another former champ, ahem Charles Denton move down into eighth place following, given the circumstance, a disappointing weekly score of 49 points. His  contributions were mainly from Salah (24) and Antonio (7). This weeks Highest Mover was Yours Truly. I moved up a massive 15 places from 24th to 9th, putting me joint second on the all time list. This was thanks to a superb and much needed weekly score of 122 points, making me this weeks Highest Scorer, putting me joint 10th on the all time list. Doing the business for me were captain Foden (36) Salah (24) Mount (24) Dennis (12) Livramento (9) Mendy (6) Gray (5) and Jesus (5).

Making up the top ten is my old work mate Mr James with a very decent 93 point weekly score. This was thanks to the likes of captain Salah (48) Foden (18) Antonio (7) Chalobah (6) and Gray (5).

The league is now starting to take shape, we are now a quarter of the way through, full steam ahead to week 10, make it count y’all.
