Fantasy Football S8 WEEK 26 Round Up

I TELL YAH INVITATIONAL LEAGUE

SEASON EIGHT

WEEK 26

This week in the Premier League, Spurs shocked one and all to beat Man City 3-2 away and blow the title race wide open. Liverpool came from a goal down to beat Norwich 3-1 at home. Chelsea got a last-minute goal to beat Crystal Palace 1-0 away. Burnley got a surprise away win as they brushed Brighton aside 3-0. Watford surprised Aston Villa beating them 1-0 away. Southampton beat Everton 2-0 a at home. Arsenal beat Brentford 2-1 at home and Newcastle drew 1-1 at West Ham.

Then in the week. Liverpool put a massive statement down to destroy Leeds 6-0 at home. Spurs came back down to earth with a bump as they lost at home to Burnley 1-0. Crystal Palace comfortably beat Watford 4-1 away and Arsenal came from an early goal down to get a very late winner to beat Wolves 2-1 at home.

In the ITYIFL, it was an unprecedented and record-breaking week as firstly, out of the 28 managers, half recorded a triple digit score. However, a big surprise was the defending champion and league leader Danny Milton was not one of them. He recorded an 83 point, bench boost week, which was mainly due to captain Alexander-Arnold (12) Kane (15) Weghorst (14) Saka (11) and from off the bench Son (12) and Foster (6).

Storming up into second place, taking on the position of primary chaser is my old work colleague Mr James. This was thanks to a superb, free hit weekly score of 138 points, which equalled the old all-time top score, but now puts him joint sixth on the all-time top scorer list. His contributions came from captain Salah (52) Zaha (17) Robertson (13) Son (12) Saka (11) Smith Rowe (11) Alexander-Arnold (6) and Jimenez (6). Remaining in third, just five points behind is Sanjay Beecher, with an equally impressive 131 point weekly score. This puts him joint 11th on the all-time top scorer list, thanks mainly to triple captain Salah (84) Kane (15) Saka (11) and Alexander-Arnold (6).

Moving up into a Champions League place is former champ Jeff Franklin with an excellent 141 point week, putting him fifth on the all-time top scorer list. He can thank the likes of triple captain Salah (84) Livramento (12) Dennis (11) Smith Rowe (11) Alexander-Arnold (6) and Jimenez (6). This all sees my youngest son and former champ Latrell Oscar fall from possible title challenger in second, to outsider in fifth. This is following, given the circumstances, a disastrous 58 point weekly score, with contributions from Robertson (13) Gallagher (12) Dennis (11) Raphinha (7) and Alexander-Arnold (6).

Natalie Holder also moves down, to sixth, despite a relatively decent weekly score of 121 points, putting her joint 15th on the all-time top scorer list. Due to captain Salah (56) Zaha (17) Dennis (11) Saka (11) Thiago Silva (8) Alexander-Arnold (6) and Foster (6). Moving up into seventh is this week’s Highest Scorer, and now the all-time ITYIFL top scorer, thanks to a stupendous bench boost, 158 point weekly score. Congratulations Nordin Gharib. Doing the business were captain Salah (58) Zaha (17) Van Dijk (14) Weghorst (14) Dennis (11) Saka (11) Alexander-Arnold (6) Walker-Peters (6) and off the bench, Cresswell (8) Maguire (7) Martinez (3) and Antonio (2).

Washington DC’s Greg Cabana moves down to eighth, although he put up triple digits with a weekly score of 115 points, sneaking him into 19th on the all-time top scorer list. His contributions came mainly from triple captain Salah (84) Saka (11) Alexander-Arnold (6) and Jimenez (6). Another former champ, ahem Charles Denton remains in ninth, following a 109 point wildcard week. This was due to captain Salah (56) Matip (14) Dennis (11) and Saka (11).

Moving up into the top ten is Lee Barratt, due to his superb, free hit 144 point weekly score, putting him fourth in the all-time top scorer list. This was thanks to captain Salah (56) Mane (26) Kane (15) Saka (11) Raphinha (7) Alexander-Arnold (6) Rodriguez (6) and Tarkowski (6). This week’s joint Highest Movers were firstly, my old football club mate Darren Ahmet. He moved up four places from 15th to 11th, due to an excellent 153 point weekly score, just missing out on the record to put him second in the all-time top scorer list. This was thanks to triple captain Salah (84) Kane (15) Dennis (11) Saka (11) Smith Rowe (11) Mitchell (7) and Alexander-Arnold (6).

This week’s other joint Highest Mover is my middle son Jahsiah Tobierrie, who moved up four places from 16th to 12th, thanks to his excellent 150 point week, putting him third in the all-time top scorer list. His contributions came from triple captain Salah (84) Weghorst (14) Robertson (13) Sancho (11) Lacazette (10) and Bernardo (5). Other managers who made it onto the top 20, all-time top scorer list this week were; Yours Truly 135 points (joint 9th) Pressure X 122 points (joint 14th) Tyrone Brown 114 points (joint 20th).

Barely time to breathe, it’s a quick turnaround to week 27, make it count y’all.
