WEEK 6

This week in the Premier League, Newcastle had eight different scorers (a new record) as they destroyed Sheff Utd away 8-0 to equal their biggest-ever Premier League win. Everton got an impressive 3-1 win at Brentford. Aston Villa were also impressive as they beat 10-man Chelsea 1-0 away. Liverpool beat West Ham 3-1 at home.

10-man Man City comfortably beat Notts Forest 2-0 at home. Brighton came from a goal down to beat Bournemouth 3-1 at home. Man Utd needed a wonder strike to beat Burnley 1-0 away.

Spurs came back twice to draw 2-2 at Arsenal In a thrilling North London derby. Luton got a dubious penalty to draw 1-1 at home to 10-man Wolves, and Fulham drew 0-0 at Crystal Palace.

In the ITYFL, we have joint league leaders. Sanjay Beecher remains on top following his 63 point weekly score. Due to captain Haaland (12) Mitoma (14) Foden (11) Salah (10) Cash and Estupinan (6). He is joined at the top by Owen Barnes, thanks to his superb 91 point week, making him this week’s Highest Scorer. Doing the business was triple captain Haaland (18) Saka (13) Botmon (12) Leno (10) B.Fernandes (10) Maddison (9) Darwin (9), and Estupinan (6).

Former champ, ahem Charles Denton moves down to third due to his weekly score of 69 points, with contributions from captain Haaland (12) Trippier (18) Saka (13) Ederson (6) Estupinan (6) and Isak (5). This week’s joint Highest Mover was my oldest son, under his alias Tommy Devito. He moved up six places from 10th to 4th due to his excellent 88 point week, thanks to captain Haaland (12) Trippier (18) Mitoma (14) Saka (13) Watkins (9) Estupinan (6) Pope (6) and Isak (5).

Moving down to fifth is my oldest nephew Tyrell Miles-Brown, following his 60 point weekly score from captain Haaland (12) Mitoma (14) Saka (13) Estupinan (6) and Digne (5). Up to sixth is my coaching partner Francis Norville, thanks to his very decent 73 points weekly score, with contributions from captain Haaland (12) Trippier (18) Mitoma (14) Salah (10) Solanke (6) and Akanji (5).

Also moving up into seventh is Yours Truly. I had a very decent 74 point week, thanks to captain Haaland (12) Mitoma (14) Saka (13) Salah (10) Maddison (9) Ederson (6) and Estupinan (6). Just a point behind, up into eighth, is my Spurs mate Keith Wilson, following his weekly score of 70 points, due to triple captain Haaland (18) Saka (13) Leno (10) Maddison (9) Estupinan (6) Solanke (6) and Isak (5).

My blood brother Wayne Watson moves down to joint eighth due to his 65 point weekly score, with contributions from captain Haaland (12) Saka (13) Botmon (12) Salah (10) and Maddison (9). This week’s other joint Highest Mover was former champ, champ Danny Milton, who stormed up six places from 16th to 10th with a very decent 75 point week. Thanks to captain Haaland (12) Trippier (18) Saka (13) Foden (11) Maddison (9) and Estupinan (6).

This week’s other joint Highest Scorer, thanks to his excellent weekly score of 91 points, was Siman Sebhat. Doing the business was a smart and brave captain of Saka (26) also, Botmon (12) Salah (10) Watkins (9) Anderson (6) Cash (6) Ederson (6) Estupinan (6) and Haaland (6).
