WEEK 19

This week in the Premier League, West Ham shocked Arsenal, beating them 2-0 away to knock them off the top of the table. Man Utd came from two goals down at halftime to beat Aston Villa 3-2 at home. In another thriller, Luton came from a goal down to beat Sheff Utd away 3-2, with the aid of two own goals.

Notts Forest and new manager Nuno surprised Newcastle, beating them 3-1 away. Wolves Surprised Brentford with a 4-1 away win. Liverpool beat Burnley away to go top. World club champions Man City beat Everton 3-1 away.

Brighton trounced Tottenham at home 4-2. Bournemouth continued their good form with a 3-0 home win over Fulham and Chelsea got a much-needed win over Crystal Palace 2-1 at home.

In a very weird ITYFL, where the Premier League served up plenty of goals, but it was a low-scoring fantasy week. It certainly benefited the league leader Owen Barnes, whose 47 point weekly score sees him top going into the final game week of the year. Thanks to captain Salah (6) Hee Chan (14) Wissa (7) Archer (5) Porro (5) and Son (5).

My coaching partner Francis Norville stays in second place and in good shape for an assault on the title for 2024. Following his weekly score of 47 points, due to captain Solanke (12) Areola (10) Alexander-Arnold (8) and Son (5).

My oldest son, under his alias Tommy Devito, closes the distance slightly in third, due to his 53 point week. Thanks to captain Watkins (4) Areola (10) Alexander-Arnold (8) J.Alvarez (8) Bowen (6) Solanke (6), and Son (5).

Moving up to fourth is my blood brother Wayne Watson due to his 43 point week, thanks to captain Salah (6) Hee Chan (14) J.Alvarez (8) Alisson (6) and Ferguson (4). In joint fourth is former champ, ahem Charles Denton, following a 43 point weekly score, with contributions from captain Watkins (4) Hee Chan (14) Bowen (6) Solanke (6) and Porro (5).

My middle son Jahsiah Tobierrie moves down to sixth due to his modest weekly score of 32 points, where his main contributions came from captain Salah (6) Hee Chan (14) and Son (5). In seventh is this week’s Highest Scorer Sanjay Beecher, thanks to an excellent wildcard weekly score of 62 points. Doing the business were captain Salah (6) Alexander-Arnold (8) J.Alvarez (8) Foden (8) Bowen (6) Senesi (6) Solanke (6) Porro (5), and Son (5).

Former champ, champ Danny Milton moves down to eighth, following his 40 point week, with contributions from captain Solanke (12) Alexander-Arnold (8) Porro (5) and Son (5). My oldest nephew Tyrell Miles-Brown moves up to ninth, thanks to his 47 point weekly score, due to captain Watkins (4) Areola (10) Alexander-Arnold (8) J.Alvarez (8) Solanke (6) and Son (5).

The defending double champ Jeff Franklin moves down but remains in the top ten, following his modest 35 point week. His main contributions came from captain Salah (6) Bowen (6) Solanke (6) Archer (5) and Son (5). This week’s Highest Mover was my former work colleague Abdul Rahman, whose very decent 57 point weekly score moved him up six places from 17th to 11th, thanks mainly to captain J.Alvarez (16) Joao Pedro (16) and Hee Chan (14).
