I TELL YAH INVITATIONAL LEAGUE
SEASON ELEVEN
WEEK 8
This week in the Premier League, Bournemouth surprised ten-man Arsenal with a 2-0 home win. Liverpool defeated Chelsea 2-1 at home to stay top. Man City needed a controversial, last-second goal to beat Wolves 2-1 away.
Brighton did a snatch-and-grab job as they beat Newcastle 1-0 away. Tottenham came from behind to destroy West Ham 4-1 at home. Aston Villa were impressive as they breezed past Fulham 2-1 away.
Leicester came back from two goals down to score a last-minute winner to beat Southampton 3-2 away. Man Utd came from behind to beat Brentford 2-1 at home. Everton beat Ipswich 2-0 away, and Notts Forest beat Crystal Palace 1-0 at home.
In the ITYFL, it was a very low-scoring week after the international break, which could only benefit the league leader, my youngest son and former champion Latrell Oscar. He remains a healthy 55 points ahead at the top with his 36 point week, mainly due to Captain Haaland (4) Watkins (8) N.Jackson (6) Rogers (6) and Foden (4).
The defending three-time champion, Danny Milton remains in second place, closing the distance slightly due to his weekly score of 39 points. Following captain Haaland (4) Kulusevski (9) Watkins (8), and Rogers (6).
My blood brother Wayne Watson moves back up into third, following a decent 46 point weekly score, thanks to captain Haaland (4) Salah (12) Welbeck (9) Wood (7) and Flekken (4).
This sees Timothy Stigwood move down to fourth due to his modest 28 point weekly score, with main contributions from captain Haaland (4) Welbeck (9) and Vardy (6).
This week’s joint Highest Mover was Sanjay Beecher. He stormed up six places from 11th to 5th due to a superb 69 point week, which also made him this week’s Highest Scorer. Thanks to captain Salah (24) Keane (14) Martinez (8) McNeil (6), and Vardy (6).
Owen Barnes stays in sixth following his decent 46 point weekly score, with captain Salah (24) Gvardiol (10) Welbeck (9) and Kudus (4) and despite having three players with minus points. My daughter, The OG Nae, in her debut season, continues to impress as she moves up to seventh, following her decent weekly score of 46 points. Thanks to captain Haaland (4) Salah (12) Bissouma (10) Garnacho (10) and Wood (9).
This sees the two-time champion Jeff Franklin move down to eighth due to a modest 27 point week, with main contributions from captain Haaland (4) Watkins (8) Rogers (6) and Henderson (3). My oldest son, under his alias Tommy Devito, moves down to ninth, following his modest 29 point weekly score, with contributions mainly from Gvardiol (10) and Rogers (6).
My recent(ish) former work colleague and Chelsea man (haha) Abdul Rahim remains in the top ten, following his decent weekly score of 41 points. Due to captain Haaland (4) Watkins (8) Aina (6) McNeil (6), and Vardy (6). This week’s other joint Highest Mover was Coach Simz, Simeon Edwards, who moved up six places from 22nd to 16th, thanks to his excellent 62 point week. Doing the business was captain Salah (24) Gvardiol (10) Martinez (8), and Watkins (8).
Full steam ahead to week 9. Make it count y’all.
