I TELL YAH INVITATIONAL LEAGUE
SEASON ELEVEN
WEEK 21
This midweek in the Premier League. Arsenal secured another North London derby win as they defeated Spurs 2-1 at home. Newcastle made it six league wins in a row with a 3-0 home win over Wolves.
Man Utd came from a goal down to score three in the last few minutes to beat Southampton 3-1 at Old Trafford. Aston Villa beat Everton 1-0 away. West Ham beat Fulham 3-2 at home. Brighton beat Ipswich 2-0 away. Crystal Palace also beat Leicester 2-0 away.
Brentford came back from two goals down to draw 2-2 at home to Man City. Liverpool got a late equaliser to draw 1-1 at Forest, and Chelsea scored a very late goal to draw 2-2 at home to Bournemouth.
In the ITYFL, we have a new league leader. Nordin Gharib moved up two places from third to top, making him this week’s Highest Mover. He scored a superb 98 point week, the joint sixth-highest this season to also make him this week’s Highest Scorer and take him to the top of the table via just one point. Doing the business was captain Isak (32) Amad (20) Iwobi (15) Palmer (10) Mateta (8), and Hall (6).
This sees long-time league leader Owen Barnes down to second, following his 56 point weekly score, with contributions from Isak (16) Samenyo (12) Palmer (10) and Rogers (6).
The defending three-times champ, Danny Milton, moves up to third due to his very decent weekly score of 85 points. Thanks to captain Palmer (20) Amad (20) Isak (16) Gordon (9), and Hall (6).
My youngest son and former champ Latrell Oscar moves down but stays in a Champions League place despite his extremely disappointing 27 point week score, with his only contributions coming from Palmer (10).
Following a superb December, my recent(ish) former work colleague Abdul Rahman is in touching distance of fourth due to a decent 68 point week, with captain Isak (32) Palmer (10) and Wood (9). Flying the flag for JA and USA, Sanjay Beecher remains in sixth, following a modest weekly score of 49 points, mainly due to Guehi (15) Henderson (7) Robinson (7) and Hall (6).
My blood brother Wayne Watson remains seventh due to his 59 point weekly score. With Guehi (15) Dubravka (10) Wood (9) Rogers (6) and Wissa (6). My former work colleague and Arsenal man Mr James stays eighth also with a weekly score of 59 points, following Isak (16) Palmer (10) Watkins (8) Elanga (7) and I.Sarr (6).
Consolidating his position in ninth is Simon Sebhat due to a very decent 79 point week. His contributions came from captain Isak (16) Semenyo (12) Palmer (10) Wood (9), and Martinez (6). Staying in tenth is two-time champ Jeff Franklin with a very decent 76 point week, thanks to Amad (20) Isak (16) Gordon (9) Robinson (7) Hall (6) and I.Sarr (6).
It’s a quick turnaround to the weekend games, full steam ahead to week 22. Make it count y’all.
