I TELL YAH INVITATIONAL LEAGUE
SEASON TWELVE
WEEK 20
This week in the Premier League, Arsenal came from a goal down to beat Bournemouth 3-2 away, to open a six-point gap at the top, because Chelsea got a last-minute equaliser to draw 1-1 at Man City. Wolves finally got their first win of the season with a convincing 3-0 victory at home to lacklustre West Ham.
Brentford continued their surprisingly good form with a 4-2 win at Everton. Newcastle beat Crystal Palace 2-0 at home. Brighton beat Burnley 2-0 at home. Aston Villa strolled past Notts Forest 3-1 at home.
Fulham got a stunning last-minute equaliser after conceding in stoppage time to draw 2-2 at home to Liverpool. Leeds drew 1-1 at home to Man Utd, and Sunderland got a 1-1 draw at Tottenham.
In the ITYFL, Coach Simz, Simeon Edwards is enjoying a third game week leading the pack and has stretched his lead at the top, thanks to a decent bench boost weekly score of 53 points, due to captain Haaland (4) Gabriel (9) Casemiro (7) Van de Ven (7) Saka (4), and from off the bench Reijnders (10).
In joint second is my old football club mate Darren Michael, who will be upset at his modest 36 point week, with main contributions from captain Haaland (4) Bruno Guimaraes (10) Wilson (6) Mukiele (4), and Saka (4).
Former champ (ahem) Charles Denton has moved up into the joint second, following his very decent weekly score of 61 points. Due to captain Haaland (4) Thiago (17) Gabriel (9) Rogers (5) Saka (4) Martinez (3), and Timber (3).
Desperately trying to claw his way into the title race is my long-time bredrin Francis Norville. He scored a decent weekly score of 55 points, with vice captain Saka (8) Rice (17) Gabriel (9) Rogers (5) Chalobah (4), and Martinez (3).
Owen Barnes remains in fifth place following a bench boost 46 point week and contributions from captain Haaland (4) Bruno Guimaraes (10) Gabriel (9) Rogers (5) Xhaka (4) Timber (3), and only a combined three points from off the bench. Just five points behind, my oldest son under his alias Tommy Devito, stays in sixth, due to a 41 point weekly score, with captain Haaland (4) Thiago (17) Rogers (5), and Chalobah (4).
Two-time champ Jeff Franklin has moved up to seventh, with a decent weekly score of 55 points. Thanks to captain Haaland (4) Thiago (17) Cunha (9) Cash (5) Rogers (5) Saka (4), and Timber (3). Moving up to eighth is my middle son, Jahsiah Tobierrie, following his very decent 58 point week. His contributions came from captain Haaland (4) Rice (17) Thaigo (17) Cash (5) Kroupi (5), and Timber (3).
This week’s Highest Mover was Tommy Lee, who moved up a massive eight places from 17th to joint 9th, thanks to his superb weekly score of 73 points, which also made him this week’s Highest Scorer. Doing the business were captain Kudus (2) Rice (17) Thiago (17) Gabriel (9) Gibbs-White (8) Pope (6) Bowen (4) Murillo (3), and Timber (3). But will be upset at leaving Grealish (10) on the bench.
Also in joint ninth is my youngest son and former champ Latrell Oscar, with a wildcard 40 point week. His main contributions came from captain Haaland (4) Bruno Guimaraes (10) Gabriel (9) Rogers (5), and Cherki (4). Just three points behind her brother in tenth is my daughter, The OG Nae, who had a decent weekly score of 51 points, following captain Haaland (4) Rice (17) Van Hacke (6) Cash (5) Rogers (5) Xhaka (4), and Saka (4).
It’s another quick turnaround to the midweek games, the last game week of this busy period before we have a short FA Cup break. Make it count y’all.
