Fantasy Football WEEK 1 Round Up

I TELL YAH INVITATIONAL LEAGUE

SEASON FIVE

WEEK 1

The Premier League is back like it never left and week one certainly wet our appetites for the season ahead. Man City strolled past Emry’s Arsenal with ease. Liverpool smashed four past West Ham. Chelsea put three past Huddersfield, while Bournemouth beat Cardiff 2-0. As did Palace away at new boys Fulham and Watford beat Brighton by the same score. Spurs snaked past Newcastle 2-1. Man Utd did the same at home to Leicester. Wolves and Everton played out a thrilling 2-2 draw. While Southampton and Burnley ended 0-0.

In the fifth season of ITYIFL. Halifa SS is the week one leader and of course, this weeks Highest Scorer, with a respectable total of 83. Doing the business were captain Mane (32) Zaha (5) Neves (12) Shaw (11) Walker (7) and Tarkowski (7)

Only a point behind in second is a newcomer Sanjay Beecher, who can thank the likes of  captain Salah (16) Richarlison (14) Mane (16) Zaha (5) Wan-Bissaka (12) Van Dijk (6) and Daniels (6) for an excellent debut in the league. In joint third is last years runner-up Greg C. Starting as he means to go on with thanks to, in no small part captain Mane (32). As well as Salah (8) Zaha (5) Jota (5) Van Dijk (6) Walker (7) Daniels (5) and Foster (6).

Making up the Champions League places, but also joint third is Kool FM’s Pressure X. This was due to captain Salah (16) Richarlison (14) Jorginho (9) Vertonghen (11) Van Dijk (6) Bertrand and Alisson (7). Also in joint third, is another newcomer, Simon Sebhat. Due to contributions from captain Salah (16) Firmino (5) B.Silva (8) Kante (8) Mendy (15) Walker (7) and Robertson (11).

In sixth is my Spurs mate Keith Wilson. This is thanks to captain Salah (16) Richarlison (14) Vertonghen (11) Alonso (11) Tomkins (6) and Alisson (7). In seventh comes my Arsenal mate, making his debut Mr James. Doing the business were captain Salah (16) Richarlison (14) Fraser (11) Wan-Bassaka (12) and Robertson (11).

In eighth is my oldest son Romario Martin. Good to see the genes are represented. He can thank the likes of captain Firmino (10) Richarlison (14) Kante (8) Van Aanholt (11) Alonso (11) and Ederson (8). In ninth comes Nordin Gharib due to contributions from Zaha (5) Richarlison (14) Jorginho (9) Sanchez (5) Van Dijk (6) Azpilicueta (6) and Trent-Alexander (5).

Making up the top ten. Agonisingly, just one point ahead of yours truly comes Lee Barratt. Allowing him to just get ahead of me (yes I am bitter) was the likes of Firmino (5) Neves (12) Mane (16) Azpilicueta (6) Trent-Alexander (5) and Daniels (5). Obviously no Highest Mover this week. That will come into play from week 2. So all that’s left to say is. Fasten your seatbelts peeps, we are in for another crazy ride. Roll on week 2.
